" Are you going to stop any time soon or will you shadow her for the rest of your life?"
Johnny didn't break his stride and Navaya kept pace beside him.
" I should be asking you the same thing. Some would even say you are worse than I am." He drawled. Even since Becca returned home, neither of them had let up about tightening the security around her. As a result, Becca hadn't been able to step outside her home without one or both of them flanking her on each side. Right now they trailed a few feet behind her as they walked through the hospital halls for her biweekly check ups, far enough that Becca wouldn't be able to listen in on their muttered conversation and it was a miracle she hadn't snapped at them for their antics.
Navaya glared at him but a part of her knew his words were true. Despite the reassuring smiles she always wore around Becca, Navaya knew she hadn't recovered from that night. She doubted she ever would.
