The night's events felt like a fever dream. They were both rushed to the hospital. Becca's wounds were cleaned, disinfected and dressed before she was left alone to sleep off the drugs that still lingered in her system. She woke up to voices and the sound of someone pacing in her room. She blinked blearily at the white painted ceiling.
" She's awake. Quick, Becca's awake." Navaya's tear-streaked face came into stark focus. Becca couldn't do anything but stare up at her.
" How do you feel?" Another voice. Johnny's this time. They both loomed over her as she laid flat on the hospital bed, an IV drip tube sticking out of the back of her palm. Her eyes lazily scanned over the room, realizing that she was indeed in a hospital. But something wasn't right.
" Where's Leo?" Were the first words she spoke, her throat hoarse. " How long have I been here?"
Johnny and Navaya exchanged a look Becca couldn't decipher.
" Four days." They said in unison.
