Leo drove to the rendezvous point, heading towards the red blinking dot on his GPS indicating the exact location of Johnny's vehicle. His shoulder still bled from the stab wound, the blood and sweat sticking the fabric of his shirt to his skin. Pain shot up his arms as he swerved to the right, causing him to grit his teeth, and grip the steering wheel harder as he narrowly avoided colliding with another car.
Headlights flashed right in his face, horns blaring. Blood loss and fatigue made him lightheaded but he clung onto consciousness as black spots slowly dotted his vision. He parked his car haphazardly on the side of the road and stumbled out, catching himself on the car door as he stabilized himself. He was sane enough to shove the tiny wireless earpiece that Johnny gave him into his ear.
Leo breathed deeply as he took out his phone and dialed Johnny's number. There were noises of thudding footsteps and heavy breathing from the other line.
