Becca was immediately roped into her brother's embrace and she tensed in confusion. Shouldn't he be angry at Leo— at her for keeping her relationship from him? Becca's eyes darted back to Leo who just stood there with an even expression.
He didn't seem nearly as surprised as she was to see Johnny here. And Becca's thoughts were running laps trying to wrap her head around what was going on.
When Johnny broke the hug, Becca finally got a chance to stare at his face properly. He looked a bit weathered with dark circles around his eyes and his eyes seemed duller than she remembered but aside from that, he looked the same.
" Why didn't you call to tell me you were back?" Johnny asked.
" I was going to. I just got out of bed." She answered, her mind still in complete disarray.
