Leo knew he probably should have tried harder to prove his love for Becca to Johnny but Leo didn't see the point of convincing someone so bent on being pertinacious. The endeavor would be fruitless.
Johnny would believe what he wanted to believe.
" Well, I do love her, more than I have ever loved anyone, and I want to fix this. I want to make things right again. " As much as Leo didn't give a fuck what people thought about his relationship, he didn't like knowing that he was the reason Becca wasn't on great terms with her family.
Everyone needed a family to fall back on. Leo wouldn't take that away from her.
Johnny stared at Leo incredulously. " A few minutes ago, you threatened to make me bleed. That doesn't exactly fix anything."
" I'm trying." Leo gritted. " If you could let go of your anger for five seconds, you would see it."
Johnny folded his arms, his biceps straining against the sleeves of his shirt.
