Chapter 2 - The next generation

In the Kingdom of Zuase, the year was 1263 ZD and the king was feeling pretty good right now. His youngest daughter had been discovered to have immense talent in Mana and swordplay!

.

.

.

She's only 6 and she can already rival the captain of knights round table with raw power alone! Words could not provide how happy the king was because of this fact! His own flesh and blood had this much potential! Though it was a bit disappointing that she couldn't be the next heir since she was the second child and a girl, but still! He couldn't wait to brag about this to his friends.

.

.

.

Meanwhile half across the kingdom another child was being praised.

.

.

.

In a ally in the slums was a boy and his younger brother next to unconscious body.

.

.

.

"Wow Ivan! You beat up a adult all by yourself!" said the younger brother. The younger brother looked pretty average with hazel coloured hair that was mostly straight with a few curls in it. In his arms were some pieces of bread that they had stolen for the nearby bakery. The older brother was breathing a bit heavy and had one or two bruises but was otherwise fine. He looked similar to his younger brother except his hair was a light shade of purple and was a mess, looking like a glob of hair stuck to his head.

.

.

.

"It's alright..he wasn't that strong..plus he made a big mistake trying to steal from us.."

.

.

.

"Umu I know but feel kinda bad...he just wanted some food.."

.

.

.

"Yeah well he isn't getting a crumb." The older brother started walking away "C'mon! We gotta give this food to mom before someone else tries to steal from us again!"

.

.

.

"Alrighty!" The little brother started walking away but then stop walked back and dropped a chuck of the bread next to the thief's body.

.

.

.

"There..so you don't have to steal from anyone else anymore." Of course this small chunk of bread would hardly last 2 hours for this man but ignorance is bliss..

.

.

.

"What took so long?..Hey did you eat a chunk of the bread? You silly glutton."

.

.

.

The little brother could only chuckle "Hehe, well y'know me..I couldn't help myself."

.

.

.

"Well whatever. As long your ok with that being taken outta your share." He shot his brother a smirk. "Eh...fine.. anyways! Let's go! Mum's probably worried!"

.

.

.

"Oh yeah! Almost forgot!..I'll race ya there!" The older started running leaving his brother in the dust. "Hehe.. YOU'RE ON!"

This is a world filled with Magic, Mana, Sword play, poverty, kingdoms. A story of loyalty, betrayal, and friendship.
