The Test continued…
Shamac and Talia were down. Ana and I were left. Of course, I still intended to spectate so it was just going to be Ana facing off against him. To be honest, this was for the best. As an ex-Apostle, Ana had way better battle experience and combat prowess than Talia and Shamac combined.
I knew for certain that Talia and Shamac were both alive. The attack Jared gave wasn't aimed at killing them, merely to incapacitate the two. Besides, my slaves wouldn't die so easily. In any case, Ana had better pull herself together if she intended to win this fight, or at least drag it out for a longer period of time.
"You seem awfully calm for someone who just witnessed her friends get their asses handed to them" Jared smirked, looking at Ana with a curious gaze.
"That doesn't matter. As long as I beat you, then it's all worth it!" Ana said with resolve.
