Phoenix first day back in the office was thrilling and she couldn't get enough of it. It felt new coming back to the office after a month of being away. She touched basically all the objects including her fountain pain.
Still in her mode, she found out something peculiar, there was a flower vase with a fresh blue scenting rose flower. Curious about it, she called Liyah using the intercom.
"Hey Liyah, can you please come to my office,"
"Yes ma'am,"
A knock was heard on the door and Phoenix invited the person in.
"You sent for me ma'am,"
"Yes, who brought this," Phoenix asked pointing to the flower in the flower vase.
"Ahh, about that, CEO Sterling Tyrell ordered those. I think he ordered it for you seeing that I had no idea you were resuming office today,"
"Oh, really, okay. You may go, thanks,"
"Yes ma'am and congratulations to you,"
"Congratulations for what?"
"Your relationship with CEO Sterling Tyrell; he announced it some time ago in an interview,"
"Oh that, thanks Liyah,"

LUNCH BREAK
"Hey Ollie, what's up,"
"Hey there, it feels like forever since we last spoke. How are you?"
"I'm doing okay and all that. You know, back in the office and all that; I miss the feeling of working and I'm glad I'm back,"
"Oh my goodness, you're back, that's fantastic,"
"I know right. So, tell me, what's up with you girl,"
"Nothing serious, but I'll tell you this though, I think that my boss's secretary likes me,"
"What, Denzel?"
"Yup, but what do I know, it's just a thought,"
"Never say never Ollie; how about you come over to the house this weekend and we can all catch up; you, me, Liyah and Debby,"
"It's a great idea,"
"And it's going to be my treat; more like a pre-thank you package for all you guys have been doing this past month. Its lunch break and I wouldn't stop you from having your lunch. Later,"
"Bye,"
Immediately after discussing with Olivia, I decided to call Debby Williams, she had been the sole help during this one month, doing the needful and I just couldn't offered not to thank her. After the third ring, she picked.
"Phoenix darling, oh how I missed you!"
"Debby my lifesaver, you really are a life saver,"
"No need to mention it darling, it is what friends do for each other and I'm glad to be of help, dear,"
"How about a mini hangout this weekend at my home with Liyah, Olivia and myself; it will be my treat so you all can murder me with your charges,"
"Hahahahahaha, nope, I don't think we're going to charge you until you're broke; we'll be merciful while we come up with strategies to make Cooking Fest more popular," Debby said
"It's always business with you, huh; well, you're right honey,"
"Well, I have got to go because I have other matters to attend to. Let's save the entire gist for later,"
"Yeah, yeah, my bad; see you later,"
Speaking with Debby was a relieve to me because I was finally glad that I got to speak to the girls and they have been working non-stop to make the show a success. While I was still thinking, a thought came to my head.
I walked to my door, opened it and went to Liyah's office.
"Hey, Liyah, Can you please call the head of finance and the head of the human resource department and send them to my office, I'd like to meet with them briefly for something important,"
"Okay ma'am,"
5 minutes had passed before a knock was heard and I had to quickly usher them in.
"Come on in," I'm pretty sure they were wondering what was going on and why I had sent for them but then, I had a poker face on so they couldn't tell if I was in for a serious business.
"Yes ma'am, you sent for us,"
"Yes I did, please, have a seat," Well, I had to calm their nerves in one way or the other.
"Thank you ma'am but I think it is best we stand,"
"Oh no, I insist," Okay, it look as though this wasn't working. Maybe a smile will ease their worries. I splattered a cordial look on my face to ease their worried state.
"Okay ma'am,"
"Well I called you here to ask you both to work together to get a particular task done for me. I need you, Mr. Dean as the head of the Finance Department to add a $1000 bonus to every workers salary here in the Head Quarters and to the other annexes too; it is more like an appreciation to everyone for their services and the job of the Human Resource Department is to make sure that this tsk is carried out and updated and please, let this be a secret between us,"
"Yes ma'am,"
"Okay, you both can go back to your department,"

At Sterling's end, he had lots of work to get done. Tons of meeting to attend and get done; even though he just recently found out that his dad was ill, that didn't mean he had to relent.
"Denzel, get Olivia over here,"
"Yes, sir,"
30 minutes later
"Yes sir, you sent for me," Olivia said
"Yeah, I need you to help me plan something and I need it worked on and delivered discretely,"
"Okay sir; what might that be,"
"I need you to get in contact with a very professional interior décor company. I need them to refurbish a room in my house to be fit for a baby; I need it top notch and it shouldn't be anything short of adorable,"
"Oh okay sir. uhhmm, when do you want to get started?"
"Work on finding the company today, close a deal with them and tell me how much it will cost; I want it started as soon as possible,"
"Okay sir, I'll do just that,"
"And one more thing, Phoenix shouldn't know about this ever, at least not yet,"
"Uhhmm, okay sir; I'll get right to it,"
"Work on it with Denzel and keep me posted,"

It was closing hours and Phoenix would have loved to stay and work more in the office but she knew that she couldn't do that because of the baby. She gathered her things and quickly headed out, bidding Liyah farewell.
It was already 6:30pm when Sterling had arrived and no sooner than later was Phoenix seen walking out through the double door of her company.
"Hey, you're here just in time,"
"Yeah, I just arrived," Sterling said.
Phoenix walked up to him and without warning or so much of a hint, she kissed him….
