(One week later….At exactly 4pm)
Days had already come and gone and it was time for Phoenix to be discharged and Sterling was yet again there for her every step of the way. Anyone could see that he was trying really hard to prove himself to Phoenix as someone worthy of her love.
"You know, I'm still giving you a chance to change your mind and come live with me so I can take proper care of you,"
"And I said no, didn't i?"
"If you agree to this, you'll be the first woman to step foot in my house,"
"And I should take that as what, an honor? Besides, who would believe such lies; everyone knows you as the king of the ladies, a playboy to be exact,"
"Well, people believe what they want to see and hear and they chose to believe that about me and I'm too busy building an empire to actually correct them of that impression and for your information, I just hang out with the ladies so the media won't formulate stories as to why I don't hang out with ladies,"
"Tsk, you really are something, Sterling,"
While Sterling and Phoenix were conversing, the doctor walked into Phoenix room
"Miss Mills, you're free to go. Please, ensure to take all the medications given to you. Mr. Tyrell, take good care of her and let me know if anything comes up,"
"Thank you Doctor, I'll clear the bills on my way out," Phoenix said
"Sure thing, we'll handle it,"

(Phoenix Villa)
"Welcome back home, I made sure that everything was kept neat for your return,"
"Oh, thank you; you really didn't have to do that at all. I could have taken care of it,"
"Yeah, I'm sure you would,"
"I would invite you for dinner but unfortunately, I do not have the appetite to eat anything. All I need is rest, a much needed sleep. I feel exhausted,"
"I'll get going then. Call me if you need anything,"
"Go home, Sterling,"
A while after Sterling had gone home, Phoenix took careful steps round the house, taking in everything that had happened a while back. The incident of what happened came like tiny flashbacks, haunting her. Well, she couldn't let that happen again.
I heaved a sigh and went to the bathroom to have a warm bath, hmmm; I missed the feeling of that. After taking my bath, I laid down to have my supposed much needed sleep but I couldn't because I heard noises, noises coming from downstairs.
'Oh goodness no; not again'
I searched for my phone on the bedside table; when I found it, I quickly called Sterling.
"Missed me that much? It hasn't been that long since I left you house; it's been what, 3-4 hours ago,"
"Help me; I think someone is in my house again,"
"Wait, what? Again; where are you?"
"I'm upstairs, in my room, I can't come down because I'm a bit scared and I can't exactly do anything if someone is really here,"
"Stay there, I'm coming over,"
"Okay,"
On Sterling's end, he just couldn't understand what was going on. What was wrong with these people and invading of people's homes? Sterling drove as fast as he could and true to Phoenix words, the door was slightly ajar. He walked stealthily to the door and peeped through it and there was Allen, again.
'This human sure had no regard for his life at all'
"911, what's your emergency?"
"I'd like to report a robbery. I think someone is breaking into my neighbor's apartment,"
"Well sir, is this your current location? If yes, then help is on the way,"
"Okay,"
After Sterling had ended the call with the 911 operator, he had to make sure that Allen couldn't go anywhere near Phoenix until the police officers got here. After carefully thinking for two seconds, he decided to stall for time.
"You, what are you doing here?"
"Who are you to ask me that?"
"Well, I'm here to see the owner of the house. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see the owner of the house too,"
"You look like an uninvited guest and by all indication, I guess you really are an uninvited guest," Sterling cursed inwardly at how long it was taking the cops to get there. Sometimes handling things the other way round really was quicker than doing things legally. Talking to this scoundrel was annoying me by the second.
"Tsk, you're one to talk,"
"I'd call her to come down here and she would but would she do that if you call her?"
"Get lost,"
"Phoenix, please come down here for a second, everything is okay,"
Upstairs in Phoenix bedroom, Phoenix was already panicking as to why Sterling hadn't called back yet. She couldn't go downstairs for fear of the inevitable. She contemplated on what to do for a while until she heard Sterling's voice from downstairs and that was when she could truly breathe.
'Finally'
She couldn't wait to go downstairs and tell him that she had agreed to live with him
"Thank God you're here, I thought that Allen had broken in again; that damn….," the words couldn't leave Phoenix's mouth because true to her earlier thinking, there was Allen; trying to come up the stairs "What are you doing here, are you here to finish the job? I'm sure you are here because you probably heard that I was alive and that I could expose you," Phoenix said frantically.
"It's not what you think; I'm here to apologize,"
"Apologize, really? You call coming to my house uninvited an apology? Wow, you really must be delusional. I'm calling the cops," She hadn't taken two steps up the stairs when she heard the siren from a police car.
A knock was heard on the door and the police officers got it.
"We got a distress call from this location that there's an ongoing robbery in one of the villas, which one of you fellas care to tell us about that and I'd like to know who made the call," One of the police officers said
"That's the robber. I made the call and I tried to stall for time by having an unwanted conversation with him. You can pick him up," Sterling said as a matter of fact, pointing at Allen as the culprit and the shock on Allen's face gave both Sterling and Phoenix satisfaction.
"That's right Officer. This man here is a criminal and deserves to be locked up. This is my house and he broke into my home. Thank goodness that my friend arrived right on time and stopped him before he could get anywhere near the rooms," Phoenix said
"Sergeants, cuff him and take him to the station,"
"Officer, I would like to press charges for breaking and entering and I might need to get a restraining order," Phoenix spoke so Allen could hear her and all Allen did was stare at both Phoenix and Sterling in disbelief. If word of his arrest got out, his company would be in huge trouble.
"What are you waiting for, take him away. I'll see to it that he is dealt with. Have a good night ma'am," the officer said
After what seemed like an eternity, everywhere was finally quiet.
"I'm coming to live with you until I recover fully," those were the words that broke the comfortable silence.
Sterling gave her a knowing grin and his eyes twinkled in delight at the news
"I knew you would darling,"
