Sia stepped closer to the figure in the shadows, her breath hitching as she tried to make out the face that had eluded her for so long. She could feel a pull deep within her, as though her heart recognized something, but her eyes could not.
The figure shifted slightly, and Sia reached out instinctively, only for the space before her to blur. It was as if an invisible wall stood between them, preventing her from seeing anything more.
"Why can't I see you?" Sia whispered, frustration mixing with the ache she had felt for what seemed like eternity.
Just then, she heard Anthony's voice behind her. "Sia, are you alright?"
Turning quickly, she felt a wave of relief. "Anthony, I... I can't see him. Why can't I see his face? I feel like I'm supposed to, but it's all blurred."
Anthony's face was concerned as he stepped closer to her, taking her hand gently. "Maybe it's not time yet. Maybe you're not meant to see him just yet. Whatever's happening, we'll face it together."
Sia nodded, although doubt still clouded her thoughts. "I don't understand. He feels so familiar, like I know him. Why does it feel like that, Anthony?"
Anthony gave her a reassuring squeeze. "Whatever this is, we'll get through it, but not by rushing into the unknown alone. We have each other."
The shadows in the room seemed to shift at that moment, and the figure vanished without a trace.
