Watching the entrance I finally see the creature that's shambling into the dungeon but there's three of them and their gross. All three creatures are humanoid but in extreme states of.....rot....they're definitely not alive. After inspecting all three I get the same message and it's exactly as I thought, I got myself some zombies!
{Species-Zombie Description- An undead creature created by one who uses necromancy or someone who was buried in cursed land. They do not think, feel, or really do much at all. They're driven by a primal urge to eat and wander aimlessly until they either disintegrate with age or are killed off. Extremely weak to holy magic as well as decapitation, zombies are the weakest and lowest rung of the undead pecking order.}
One of the zombies is really short with a long dried beard, its stocky body was obviously a dwarf in life as its remaining arm holds a small axe in its hand. Its other arm has been ripped from the elbow and its face is barely held together with small scraps of gristle. The other that's walking is completely together but its head barely clears the ceiling which makes me realize that i need to make the rooms taller. This zombie looks fresher but still old as its skin looks like dried leather. Ironic considering its skin is the same shade as the armor its wearing as what looks like an empty quiver sits on its back, I also notice its shriveled ears seem to be pointed and its hair is a buzz cut silver color. The last remaining zombie is pulling itself into the dungeon with it's arms as its legs have been cut from it's body at the waist. It's insides drag behind it as its neck is obviously broken but its jaw still chatters as it continues to pull itself forward. On its head there are two extremly tiny horns that look more like blunt bumps as well as a tattoo along its one arm that looks lkike a symbol for fire.
"Be careful if you plan on using the undead Kyle, they can be very strong and they're extremly cheap to create but churches and religious people usually hate anything undead that can spread quickly. You'd also get their blueprint if a humanoid died in the dungeon but most of the time zombies are bad news unless your a massive dungeon and they're used as fodder in the lower floors." Tilly warns me as I watch the Castyr instantly pop up from its nap and begin growling at the approaching zombies.
As soon as the dwarf zombie steps over the threshold from the hallway into the main room the Castyr bolts towards it and leaps onto its rotted chest, the beasts huge front teeth gouging out flesh and hair as after a few seconds a sharp crack is heard and the skull of the dwarf shatters. As the Castyr digs into its rotted head the body falls to the ground, lifeless. I mentally order the Castyr to back off and be careful of the next one coming in but thankfully zombies in this world are as smart and strong as the ones in horror movies. The tall zombie walks into the room and trips over the dwarf zombies corpse. The tall zombie topples over as its arms hit the ground with a dry crack, followed by its chest and finally its head bouncing off the earth. The Castyr rushes towards the wriggling zombie and jumps onto the skull, the bones crunching as the entire skull caves in. Finally the last of the zombie trio pulls itself into the room but before it can even enter fully the Castyr swipes its paws through its skull causing its body to fall limp.
'Tilly I have a question. Why am I not getting any energy from the zombies, they did die in the dungeon right?' I ask curiously as I focus on the bodies of the zombies and begin absorbing them.
"That's simple actually, you won't get mana from them because they're undead and not fresh ones. Zombies are fueled through magic but these three have been around for awhile so they had very little if any fueling them, that's why they were also so easy to kill. But the bright side is we still get their blueprints plus on top of them we also got their gear! You should check it out!" She says excitedly as I remember the clothes and weapons on the zombies with excitement.
[Blueprint for Dwarven Zombie Received] [Blueprint for Elven Zombie Received]
[Blueprint for Satyr Zombie Received] [Loot received-Iron hatchet, Leather Armor Set, Quiver of Swiftness, Magical Tattoo Tome: Flame Burst]
"Nice! That's a great hall from a bunch of rotters! It couldnt count the dwarfs armor sadly since it was already mostly destroyed but luckily the elf had its leather on plus the quiver is enchanted which will make a great loot drop! And that Tome is a rare find! Usually only certain monks have access to them but that satyr zombie was so dried out it counted its skin as parchment! Lucky!" Tilly babbles excitedly as I glance over my new drop options.
As Tilly begins to get ready to teach me something new I glance into the room with my Castyr and summon a few of the bones of the zombies. When the furry little guy see's them he begins prancing around happily before he rushes to the bones and starts cracking them open and eating what's inside with a look of joy on its face.
"Okay Kyle next on our list your gonna summon a boss and make some boss loot!" Tilly says cheerfully as I focus on her once again.
