Chapter 15 - The First Floor

Watching the bathers slaughter the castyr in the first room, I can't help but feel a sense of pity as the insane fights wildly swing their weapons at the beasts and even as the castyr fall they leap upon them and rip into the fur and flesh with their bare hands and teeth like savages. Wincing I absorb the now slaughtered corpses and allow the loot to drop in front of the Bathers but am confused as each of them free in place and begin looking around dumbly. While the Blood Bathers are just hovering above the loot with blank faces the three cognizant members of their party are exploring the new features of the room and even taking some of the flowers and materials while discussing quietly. Considering the group doesn't seem in a rush to continue for now I decide to check out the new blueprints of the creatures they "gifted" to me.

{Species-Night Gnome Description- Diminutive Humanoid Cousins of the more civilized gnomish people. These Offshoots were once the same as the more known version but due to living in curse area's the devolved into a monster race. Although still clever tinkerers they've lost much of their intelligence and now act as malicious tricksters or thieves. Night Gnomes still are superior to most other monsters if forced to fight in their homes due to their extreme mastery of creating traps and using the salvage around them to reinforce their homes. These creatures form small clans that they are deathly loyal to.}

{Species-Rust Snail Description- Fairly common creatures from coastal area's that stand half a meter tall. Docile and peaceful they rarely find themselves in danger due to their shell made from massive amounts of reinforced oxidized metal. When they are attacked they use an acidic slime to burn the enemy and can even spit this slime up to five meters. Easily tamed Most coastal villages employ at least one Rust Snail to help with the maintenance of tools and equipment. Rust snails eat and evolve by using its acidic slime to eat away and repair rusted and oxidized metals.}

{Species-Giant Rat Description-One of the most common monsters in all the world! Created by a wizard to help in destroying unwanted waste, he did not account for their fast breeding capabilities and soon these monsters were a plague upon the world. The size of a domesticated pig and having the temper of a wolf make these pack creatures a challenge for rookies and in large enough numbers a threat to veterans.}

{Species-Grat Description-A magically created species with unknown origins, the Grat is little more than a giant horsefly with thumbs and primitive intelligence. Being the size of a cat is bad enough but these creatures are able to wield weapons and are easily able to outsmart landbound opponents. Although not venomous their bites can cause extreme swelling and vast amounts of pain, usually ending in sickness due to the amount of disease in their mouths. Carnivorous to an extreme these creatures have even been seen swarming other Grat colonies and resorting to cannibalism when starving.}

'The new creatures are pretty useful and I think I'll use the rust snail as a pet drop in the future unless it evolves into something with more potential I might also add the bats to the first floor and put some gnomes on the second to give the place a darker vibe.' I say offhandedly to Tilly as she nods in agreement while pointing at our screen, the party moving towards the end of the room and looking both directions in confusion.

"On the left was where that Boss killed me crew. The right side looks new so we might have something new there." Says the leader as both the woman and man nod before whistling and pointing towards the right, all of the Blood Bathers jumping at the sound and rushing into the hallway and new room.

Watching quietly I see the bathers jump towards a castyr that was lazing about in the flowers when suddenly several tentacles pop out nearby and stab into the lead bather as he falls to the ground spasming, foam coming from his mouth. Smiling that the Grave Crawlers are showing their worth I'm quickly put in awe as their magical weapons appear once again and they begin killing the castyr while defending against the crawlers. Soon enough the trio arrives and the quiet man begins mumbling before rays of light hit the walkers shells and they release a wail before my list says they've been defeated.

"Grave Crawlers, nasty little things. Crawlies will be if something happens to Ro so we best protect him until we clear them. Looks like we were right to be cautious, this place has upgraded.' The leader says quietly as he watches the mobs bodies sink into the ground as well as the single dead bather. Suddenly I get a surprising message and am forced to inspect the Blood Bathers.

[Received Blueprint Blood Bather]

{Species-Blood Bather Description- These humans have been corrupted and tortured with the magic of a dungeon born creature turning them into more monster than man. Savage to a fault and almost mindless, these man beasts excel at pure combat having increased regeneration, speed, and reaction times while also being able to summon an elemental weapon at the cost of their life essence. Many cults or dark organizations use these poor souls as sacrifices to deities and patrons in exchange for boons.}

'Tilly will these still work for their sacrifices to me since they're considered creatures?' I can't help but to ask as she shrugs her shoulders while listening to the praise of the woman adventurer.

"To think that this dungeon has both grave flowers and dox moss but it also has several types of herbs we can use for medicine and the mobs drop items we can process into food, armor, weapons, and commodities! Just these walker shells alone are worth several silvers due to it being almost impossible to harvest without breaking them but the stingers can be used as darts or arrowheads as well! I can't wait to see what else is in store!" the woman excitedly chatters as the silent man just shakes his head and sends the bathers into the room of the ambusher and her poisonous party. Once they enter the room the party surprises me once again as the leader fills the role of tank and all four of the blighted castyr charge towards him, When the ambusher attempts to kill the man named Ro the woman steps forward and swipes her dagger forward, leaving a large slash across the ambusher's chest. Within several minutes the group has finished of the room and seemed pleased with the rewards before they make their way back towards Spooky.
