At the emerald jade mountain, it was still early dawn. Yet, the clinophile physician Chen was forced to open his eyes, breaking up with his lovely bed because of a particular patient no other than Li Zian.
In truth, Zhang Long Wei had been sleep-deprived all night. It was already midnight when he arrived at the snowy-light peak last night.
All the disciples of Jianyu Sect were only allowed to enjoy the festival till midnight and had to come back before that specific time. Zhang Long Wei had already worn out just from all those chasing and running all night. What's more when he had to deal with a certain annoying cheater?
Given the fact that he had been tired out from all those events, Zhang Long Wei should have fallen asleep right at the moment his head touched the comfy pillow. But it didn't happen. His eyes were wide open for the entire night for some unknown reason. And his head ached so much that the youth couldn't even lie down for an incense stick of time.
Zhang Long Wei had been meditating and circulating his meridians to reduce the pain of headache because as soon as he stopped doing those things, that damn headache would start again. But even after the dawn had arrived, it didn't get any better and thus the reason as to how he ended up at the door of this clinophile physician at such an untimely hour.
"What happened to your head? And how did you get these injuries? How come you're getting repeated wounds just in that place? Last time was with a stone and this time what?"
"Nothing serious....I just bumped into a wall by accident."
Rubbing the place between his brows, the youth gave a casual reason in annoyance. Why would this physician have to be so talkative? Zhang Long Wei was already having this damn headache, no need to make it worse.
Now that this physician said that, it seemed all this headache was because of that pretty male's doings. Zhang Long Wei got hit in that place exactly twice, not to mention it was with a hard ceramic plate. By then, he didn't feel much painful. Maybe he didn't notice it because he was getting influenced by other negative emotions. But now that Zhang Long Wei had calmed down, the injury seemed to be starting to take its toll on him.
The more he recalled about last night, the darker his mood became. And with his mood getting gloomier, his headache would grew even worse. How unlucky he was to meet path with that male....sigh...
"What a stupid excuse...as if I'd believed it in the first place. Someone hit you there with something hard, right? It seemed last night was a bit tough for you."
Why bother asking when he could take a guess? Just give him necessary treatments and medications already. Zhang Long Wei nodded perfunctorily, closing his eyes and propping up his head on the table in fatigue.
"Hahaha...you poor kid, who did that to you? A lad or a pretty maiden? What a pity. This old man was not there to witness the scene...hahaha....."
This physician here was such a happy old man indeed. He knew how to fit in with young disciples like him and was also skilled in making others comfortable in his presence. Zhang Long Wei admired this physician for these facts but they were the very things that got to him as well.
The old physician had been sitting next to him for a long time. Nonetheless, he had merely taken a casual glance at his injury. What now? Leaving the patient like this and going to joke all day?
"Physician Chen, am I getting treated today? I'm not here just to get laughed at by you. "
"Hahaha.....okay .....okay....Li Zian...how come you've turned this cold and distant these days. This old man is starting his work, okay? "
With that said, physician Chen started testing his pulse and checked his injuries. This physician was quick and accurate when it came to his work. His expression grew serious as he went quieted down and focused. Soon, the result was out as he gave a brief explanation over his situation.
"Your condition is not that serious right now. You've got some mind internal injuries in head. But as a cultivator, it won't harm you that much. But you might experience severe headache or even feel nauseous from time to time."
" Even so, no need to worry. I'll give you prescription for that. And especially the tea, make sure to have herbal tea I prepare regularly. It will help you a lot. Don't let your head get more injuries further, otherwise you're going to suffer from more serious consequences. Get it?"
The physician stood up as he went to get some herbal plants from a wooden tray on a shelf. Opening his tired eyes, Zhang Long Wei attempted to listen to the physician. Not only headache but also nausea...sigh.....what a weak body he was in.
How long had it been since he last felt this weak and useless? Yeah....it was in his childhood. Back in that time, there was not even a day he didn't get any tortures or torments. Life had been incredibly tough by then. His mother mistreated him, other children in the village bullied him. For them, he was no more than a creature to look down upon.
And how other elders saw him?.....he didn't even think they saw him as a human. His mom always tortured him, cussed him and hit him just in front of their eyes. But they never helped him....not even once. Instead of urging his mom to stop doing these brutal things to her own son, they just took him as some evil creature. Due to some rumors, they believed that he was an evil son born from devil origin, so they thought he deserved everything. They cruelly thought this little child deserved everything.
And then again when he escaped from his mother's hand and ran out of that disgusting brothel, he....he.....
Frowning his brows, Zhang Long Wei raised his head, trying to pay his attention on the physician back. Why would he even bother to recall such bitter memories? Everything was in the past. And those people had already got what they deserved.
Focusing on the physician's word, Zhang Long Wei stopped his train of thoughts just right there. Now was better than in those awful days though. He knew it would take time to get back to the life of a great lord of demons. But still being in here was not that bad.
Right now, he'd got masters to discipline him. He'd got some fellows who admired and tried to make friends with him because of his sword skills. And what's more? Here was also a physician who would joke with him and lift his spirit a bit whenever he caught a cold or ended up having injuries. It was still much better.....actually much better compared to those days.....
