Chapter 11 - First.

KAOS

"Neema, are you sure?" Dhara narrowed his eyes, unable to believe the accusations. "if she pushed..." I tapped Dhara, interrupting him.

I pulled him aside

"Can I kill her now?" I whined quietly "you really do not believe pushed her, do you?" I searched his eyes.

"I know you didn't push her and no, because she's my friend" he held my shoulders, "why is she accusing you though?"

"You cannot be blind to her feelings for you...She is in love with you" I shook my head "...I am going to tell you now, I do not have any intention of letting her get what she wants, if she wants a fight, I am all in" I walked away from them.

I entered the forest behind the house to clear my thoughts. I knew she was trouble when she came close to me, I couldn't test her in my human form so Dhara and his brother could see her for what she was. But I had better things to do right now. I called forth the the twin gods.

"Mistress called" The spoke at the same time which made me shiver.

They had unique markings on their face, clear white eyes stared back at mine, their hair was red as blood, They had forearms that were black as darkness. From their appearance, I could tell one was female and the other male.

"Do you always talk at the same time" I teased and they smiled, revealing their jagged teeth. "What are your names and Which gods are you?" I went straight to the point.

"I am Hina" The female twin spoke, her hand shot up.

"I am Hika and we do not know ourselves...we are just like Mistress, born from a single unique prayer and that who prayed was killed at our feet by her enemy."

"killed?" I frowned.

"I believe it was an abusive husband, she offered us her unborn child but she could not deliver it herself"

"They both died" Hina continued "I killed the husband myself and after that we fell into a deep sleep until, Wejah woke us"

"Wejah? who is Wejah?"

"He took us to the facility to be experimented on" Hika hissed "he lied to us and used us to kill humans he did not like"

"If I find him, I will kill him, just like the husband" She smiled in anticipation.

"Hina, Hika...you do not remember where you are from?"

"we could have but the small shrine the woman built was destroyed when her husband attacked her..."

"...and Wejah made us sleep when he took us but I remember...There was a huge river we had to cross, covered by lotuses, I saw a man on a boat too, he was wearing a funny looking overcoat"

"That is not enough" I paced "anyway, I am getting a feeling that you are chaos gods like me but different... probably minor gods. I will help you"

"Mistress has helped us enough, we are happy where Mistress is keeping us...we do not need more" They shook their heads with a soft smile and I called them back in.

I went back to the beach house and met a covered up Neema sitting by the fire place with a mug cradled in her hands. I smiled when she saw me and sat by her.

"you really did not need to use a cheap trick like that...how much did it cost you? your credibility?"

"Gloat all you want, you won this round...I'm not giving up just yet" she hissed

"Child, you do not want to cross me...The last woman that did, let us just say...things did not end so well for her"

"are you threatening me, bitch"

"call me bitch one more time and I will turn that blanket into a noose around your neck and strangle you" I smiled and ruffled her hair "... and also...that was not a threat...you would know when I do" I laughed and walked away from her fuming form.

I went up the stairs to the room Dhara and I shared. He was asleep. He looks peaceful, like a sleeping baby. I laid by him and he stirred.

"You're back...I missed you" he murmured, a smile creeping up his face.

"yes... I was talking to Neema" His brows furrowed in a frown and he opened his eyes "I warned her not to test me" I sighed "she is a pitiful child, I understand her actually but she is just as rotten as Yara"

"I'll talk to her if that's okay with you?"

"Good idea, I do not wish to hurt anyone you care about" I nodded, shifting closer to him

"We'd be leaving soon though. We can't stay here forever. Dhiji and Neema would leave in the evening and prepare ahead for us to come...You can experience the city and integrate with the new world"

"Okay" I planted a kiss on his lips. A giggle escaped me when he grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him. His scent was intoxicating and I found myself craving for him "I want you..." I whined softly.

FEW HOURS LATER.

DHIJI

By the time we arrived at the docks from the Island, it was already sundown. Through the boat ride and the walk to the car the silence between us was excruciating.

A lot happened for the few hours we were there...it was almost chaotic. I laughed internally. I was really disappointed in Neema so much that I was almost questioning our friendship.

I revved the engine twice.

"You've been awfully quiet since we left the island" She broke the silence.

I pulled out of the parking lot and onto the main road.

"cold shoulder, huh?" she sighed, I could almost feel the sadness in her voice. "I'm guessing you also believe I intentionally tripped" she shook her head, hurt plastered all over her form. "she threatened me...and pushed me! how can you not see how evil that woman is Dhiji?"

I shook my head, my eyes were glued to the road. "why are you still lying, Neema...even to me, to my face...That woman...she did nothing to you...so what if she's with my brother...there are plenty other fishes in the sea ...I can't believe you would stoop so low..." I breathed, I was getting agitated. "what if your plan had gone sideways, what if you hit your head on the rocks and you died...did you even think of me? Your mom?"

"Dhiji..."

"you didn't because you are a spoilt selfish brat and I can't believe I fell in love with you..." I caught myself before I said anymore.

"What?"

"That doesn't matter now. You shattered what was left of my feelings for you..."

The rest of the drive was awkward and I was glad it was quickly over. I dropped her off at her house and without a goodbye, I drove off.

I slammed my fist against the wheel in frustration. I had been absolutely unreasonably forward putting myself bare in front her to see. It didn't matter anymore anymore, we were just friends now...just friends.
