It was a bleak morning when he went outside, the sky was grey and if he could describe the mood of the morning, it would be gloomy because it was dark, the clouds were covering the sky and it looked as if it was about to rain and he wished that he could go back to sleep. He looked up and saw his new school, it was a red brick building that looked like it was in shambles and was going to crumble at any moment and to top it off, there were droves of children trying to get in.

When he got to the gate he was buffeted through the gate and into the school and he wanted to get out as soon as he got. He looked around and spotted a Toilet door so he moved towards it and got in.

He looked around and saw two kids leaning on the wall smoking. He immediately spun around but he felt something on his shoulder. "Where d'ya think you're going and whats ya name?" asked a tall ginger haired boy with pimples asked. He turned his head and replied "I'm heading to class and my name is Wyat-" he felt something hit his jaw and felt excruciating pain and started to scream but the boy clamped his mouth shut and a muscular brown haired kid pushed the tall boy off him and picked Wyatt up and dunked his head into one of the toilets multiple times and then slammed him against the wall and said "Don't tell anything about what you've seen here or you'll face the consequences." in a silent but deadly voice and emphasized it by throwing him across the room.

He walked up to his class all wet and bruised and saw someone standing in front of the door, "Well its about time Wyatt, you're 10 minutes late by, the way I'm Miss Maya, if you have any problems please come to me." she commented. "I'm sorry just ran into some trouble that's all." he replied. She looked him up and down and saw that he was clearly lying but nonetheless she told him to follow him into the class.

He walked into the class and looked around, the whole room was occupied except the seat in the back at the window. As soon as he walked in the kids were snickering until one kid in the front started laughing like a dying cat and smacking his table all while crying and then the whole class followed suit, all of them sounded like dying animals and one kid laughed so much he sounded like a donkey and they started to stop laughing.

"Settle down settle down." She said and the kids stopped laughing "Wyatt, please introduce yourself.". "Hello, I am Wyatt Robinson, I am 14 years old, I transferred here, to Moonshine from a school in the city because my parents found a new jobs here. I like reading and drawing and I hope to get along with you all." The children all clapped but the fact that it was forced was very audible. "Wyatt go to your seat, it's in the back." the teacher said and he proceeded to walk to the back of the class and sat down. After he had finished the first 2 periods he went outside with the rest of the students and sat down in a corner of the playground until he was approached by a bespectacled boy with white hair and freckles. The boy asked "You were attacked by the Barbaric duo weren't you?" to which Wyatt responded by asking "What are the Barbaric duo and who are you?".

He pushed his glasses up with his index and middle fingers "I am known as Jack and the barbaric duo are two living legends in this school, Gary is a bodybuilder with brown hair wipes the floor with anyone at any sport and Roger is tall and ginger and has consistently been the top spot of every exam that he takes and legend has it, that when Gary entered the school, he beat up all the bullies until he was the top dog, and you had told the teacher that nothing had happened to you so I came to the conclusion that you were attacked by them." "Well, that's all well and good but how exactly is that going to help me?" Wyatt asked. "It doesn't, but I'm in the same predicament as you, soo, you wanna be friends?" Jack asked.

Wyatt thought about it for a moment, and then agreed to it because no-one else had approached him and there was no guarantee that anyone would, and he was in an unfamiliar setting and its better safe than sorry.

The bell rang, break was over, Jack stretched out his hand and Wyatt took it and hoisted himself up. They both walked backed to class geeking out about about their favorite super hero shows and pastimes.

Wyatt finally thought that things were looking up. At lunch, he and Jack were walking down the corridor until they bumped into the barbaric duo.

"Where do you think you're going, dork" Gary said in a menacing tone.

Wyatt was annoyed and thought his day couldn't get any worse so he said "Hey, big guy, I think I've found your nose, in my business now get your ugly face out of my way because I think it your unsightliness might rub off on me because that's a face not even a mother could love." The whole corridor burst out laughing and Gary turned red and said "Cmon Roger, lets go."

Gary skulked off with Roger and Jack looked at Wyatt with a horrified face, "You shouldn't have done that."

"Why not?" asked Wyatt

"They'll find you and give you hell for as long as you live in this town, there was a kid who was so traumatised that he had to go to therapy for 2 years and move out of the country." said Jack

"Whatever." Wyatt walked off to the cafeteria, while Jack was jogging behind him trying to keep up. When they got to the cafeteria Wyatt and Jack sat down at one of the empty tables and ate while talking about random things.

The rest of the day at school went as normal as can be and the both of them left school together. They then spent the rest of the day hanging out together because Jack's parents didn't really worry about where he goes at any time because it was a relatively safe town and Wyatt's parents were out working until 5 in the morning.

They were on a grass field basking in the moonlight when the center moon started glowing brightly and were gazing at it open-mouthed until they realised that it wasn't the moon that was glowing, it was a meteorite but from their point of view it was covered by the moon.

When they realised that they started yelling and running but it was too late.
