Chapter 4 - Stuck:II

(Unknown Place: The Mansion)

(1st Person P.O.V.)

I walked through the hall of the mansion looking through the various things that were in there, including a giant dome made of glass in the center of the ceiling with a chandeliers covering the both sides of the ceiling portraits, some decorative weapons, a human armor, more portraits chandelier, hanging lights, more portraits, chandeliers, hanging lights again, more portraits, did the owner seriously brought a lot of portraits and chandeliers in this place and for a single hall that is-wait I saw air conditioners in the ceiling and few more hanging lights.

*Whistle*

"I said it before but I will say it again." I spoke admiring the details put in the one and the very first hall I was in, behind me the two pups that were with me barked. "The owner of this place spent a huge amount of money in this place, especially the portraits." Except the portraits, I don't know if the owner of this place was listening to me or not but he seems to be extremely fond of art, especially modern art, I see very few pictures of sceneries and an average number of people in those pictures, but the arts with things like.....

"How does one explain these things?" I asked myself while looking at one of the art that was on the wall and one of the pup barked as if it was telling me something, I looked down where it was looking up at me. "Where's the other one?" I suddenly asked.

A barking voice came and I looked to the right where it was wagging its tail in front of a huge double door, it turned back around to scratch on the door.

"Hey stop!" I yelled out and the it turned back to look at me. "We don't know if someone is in there, so don't do that!" I chided the little pup who looked down, sad, huh, I am actually learning about these things. I followed the dog and went in front of the huge door, I've to say, I was curious too.

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door gently. I really didn't wanted to be surprised by anything, and I understood that the knock on the door put the person, who can be on the other side, at edge, but I suddenly remembered that before me the dog was the one who was scratching the door first.

"Okay, I will open the door slightly to peek inside." I quietly spoke to the two puppies who listened to my every word. "If I see no one is in there, than one of you would go in there and bark if no one is in this room." I do not wanted to take any chance if someone in there tried to harm me in any way than and I am not going to fall for a surprise attack, why not have one of the puppies run inside, if some is in there than the puppy would inform me, and I am talking to two dogs who probably can't even understand me, great.

Or may be they can, seeing how one of them, one who is more than ready to run off inside.

Will it be on my conscience if a puppy would die if I send it inside knowing that there could be something inside that could harm us?

Probably not. Right now the only thing I know is to find a way to make sure I survive whatever this place is a d right now I have two expendables.

Am I a bad person for doing this and will those people from pet and animal protection will find me a degenerate and will file a case against me?

Most probably. But I want to survive first, what they do for making sure I lived through whatever this place is, it's their problem.

One of the pup quickly ran inside and seeing that nothing was coming to attack or pet it or the fact that it didn't made a sound made it sure that there was no one inside, but just to be sure that there was no one, I pushed the other door inside with my pan not feeling any resistance from some one who could be hiding behind the other part of the double door. I slowly stepped inside my bat and pan in defensive positions as the second pup followed me inside.

This room was a huge library. I thought looking around the spacious room with stairs leading up to a balcony type corridors on the second floor with a row of books in the book stands and the large windows with seating arrangements of tables, chairs and couches made near them a large globe that had some things other than moon circling it and a few armors for decorative purpose, and two large chandeliers, hanging lights and air ducts and a ceiling air conditioner that were inside there.

"One, two, three, four...." I began counting the book stands in the room. "Eighteen, ninteen, twenty." I let out another whistle. "And each one of them have three columns with ten rows and each row have ten books, which would make it....there might be nearly six thousand books in this room, and I was not even counting the ones that were on the second floor. Seriously the owner of this place might be loaded. I went near one of the book stand opened up the case and picked one book to look through it.

Speaking of looking, for a quite while I've been having this weird and creepy feeling as if someone had been watching me for sometime. It didn't seem like they would harm me or anything but it's better to be careful. I looked around myself and then read the title.

"Origin: Alchemy, Science and Magic." I decided to put the book back in its place. "Weird interests." I muttered to myself as I moved back towards the doors and looked inside the room for the final time before calling out to the two pups.

"Hey, you two." I called out to the two who seemed to be playing with the globe, at my voice both turned to look at me and seeing my head motioning for both of them to follow they came running outside, huh, seems like feeding the two gave me their loyalty, somewhat, it seemed to me they had been hungry for a while and I was the first person who fed them in a while.

Saying that I moved forward and went through the hall with the two of the pups following behind me.

I did learn a few things. There were only four door that leads to different rooms. Two of them connecting mines and the puppies houses to the mansion. While one lead to the a large living room of sorts didn't had the second floor like the library but it's still was still as high as it and my house. It had two large three seater couches and three single seater and a large table that was in the center, not mention a few portraits, chandeliers, hanging lights and an air conditioner that were fitted in the ceiling.

What were the rest of the doors. Well in total there were ten doors and six of them leads to outside, in both the sides of the mansion, seeing that I made sure that all of them were tightly closed and couldn't be opened from the outside.

After making sure that the door were actually closed I took a look at the outside seeing that the sun was setting down and it was soon going to be dark. I quickly moved back towards the door that was connecting my house to the mansion. After reaching the door I finally noticed that the two pups had followed me to it.

"What are you doing here?!" I whispered, actually almost yelled out. "Go back!" I pointed towards the door that was connecting their house to the mansion. But instead of doing that they just tilted their heads in confusion and looked at the door that was behind me, seeing their sight I almost yelled out.

"No!" I exclaimed. "That's my house!" I pointed towards the other door again. "That's yours, go there!" I said and quickly went inside.

I put the pan and the bat at the counter, took a glass and drank the whole glass in one go, waited for a moment poured myself another glass, and I wanted to drink. Just bring the glass to the mouth but instead of that I decided to put the glass on the counter table and moved towards the door that connects my house to the mansion. I opened the door to see that the two dogs were still at the door.

"What are you two still doing here?" I asked exasperated as the two tilted there heads.

"Your place is there!" I pointed back towards the place but one of the pups, one who is way to enthusiastic ran inside the room while both the other pup and I watched as he ran inside, before it actually settled in what has happened. "Hey! This not your house!" I exclaimed as I saw the pup make itself at home. I then watched the other pup who was looking at me again.

"I assume you want to come in too?" I was talking to dogs, what has life come too. I sighed as I got out of the way. "Get in." I said as the other pup trudged in when I noticed something.

"You guys are dirty!" I said as I picked up the two, both of them covered with dirt. "How did you get dirt on you inside that room?" I asked myself before grabbing the two pups and heading towards the bathroom that was on the ground floor of my house connected to the main room, and one of them begin to squirm when I opened the door and he begins to squirm.

"No!" I took hold of the other dog who was trying get out my grasp and before I closed the door of the bathroom with the help of my foot. "If you want to stay here, you've got to stay clean." I commanded as I twisted a faucet of the hand shower and pointed in the direction of the two puppies. After making sure they were wet I used the shampoo I had, which was for humans, I don't have dog shampoo with me, and after much trial and error of the two pups squirming, barking and trying to run away, I was able to get them clean.

And after cleaning them up I noticed few things, first would be the color of the puppies, one had fur that was white in colour while the other was slightly golden, and another that they were both males.

"Should I be familiar with the breed?" I asked myself. "Whatever, need to get you guys dry." I said as I brought an extra towel and began drying them.

"Now that it's done." I said and moved out putting them on the floor, outside the bathroom in the main room. "Out, I am taking a bath." I commanded as I stood with a new towel in my hand. "Do whatever you want but don't make a mess. It takes a lot to clean this place." I mumbled as I closed the door and took shower.

I emptied the shampoo bottle that I used on dogs and then on myself, it is human shampoo. In the shower I tried my best to make a sense of what had occured today and how I got here.

'How did I get here?' I thought to myself. I didn't find another living being except for the two pups, not to mention the change in environment, that huge mansion and the large f***ing dinosaur that was at the front gate of this mansion and alive.

"Well this is not a dream that much I can attest too." I muttered as I stood with the water falling over my head. "Let's find out more tomorrow." I muttered as I turned off the shower and dried myself with the towel, and opened the door.

"You are still here!" I muttered as I saw the white puppy moving and yapping around the room. I looked up to see that the door to the living room was open and the other puppy barking out there. 'Atleast he isn't making a mess.' I thought as I motioned the other puppy to move outside. "Go out, I am changing." I spoke as the white one went out and began playing with the Golden puppy.

After changing, I went out to see that the two dogs did make a mess, just not what could be said as unmanageable, just need to put some things back in their place and it's done. But I looked at the two puppies with a frown none the less.

"I said no mess." I spoke to the two puppies, who looked up at me and then around me, seeing the amount of things that have fallen around and began gathering them, as I was gathering them the two puppies also picked up a frame each and handed them to me. "Thank you." I replied for the help but had wipe my hand because of their drool on the frame. 'Disgusting!' I thought but kept my words away from the mouth when I saw the two looking up at me.

After the mess was cleared I went to the fridge and began preparing for the meal.

"So what do the two of you eat?" I spoke as I opened up the fridge and looked down at the two and back in the fridge. Dogs don't mind chicken if it isn't cooked, right?

I pulled a pack of the frozen chicken, let it defrost, before cooking some for myself and putting two pieces in two different bowls and leaving them aside, I was going to add some vegetables and other things that I was going to use for my own cooking like onions, garlic and other things in the two bowls but stopped, for now the chicken was enough, I think, I will read some of those encyclopedias that I stuffed on the top floor later on, they might've something regarding this stuff.

After my food was done I took the two bowls and my plate with rice and the chicken curry that I made to the living room where the T.V. was. I didn't know where I was but atleast this place had power and water supply also the sewage was connected.

But no signal, that's what I found out when I tried to find few movies. Even my phone didn't have any bars.

Where the f**k did I was taken too?! Well if I am off planet like I thought than it could be explained but I should have something to contact someone with, shouldn't I?

Well, putting that aside, I did have Blu-rays, dvds, Hard drives and other USB sticks that had movies, series, anime, games etc. So entertainment was not the problem for the time being. Not to mention I had books, diy books, novels, encyclopedias and few comics, there is a possibility I won't even read three of the two mentioned if I didn't had something to learn or understand or if I was extremely bored.

I put the bowls for the puppies on the floor where they sat as I played one of the movies on the Blu-ray, I will say that while I am not bad in cooking, I am not good in that department either, but this plate was not that bad, compared to my previous tries.

I looked down to glance at the puppies and they were eating the meat, well now I know that they do eat things that are chewable, it was just those cereals.

And for some reason it still felt like that there was someone who was keeping tabs on me since I entered the mansion.

And you thought I let the puppies in my house out of the good will of my heart. No, there is huge mansion and a constant feeling of a gaze fixed on me, I do not wish to be left alone near such a huge mansion which gives off such a creepy feeling.

After the food and movie, I poured out some milk for the three of us emptying the carton and throwing it in the dust bin, before heading off to brush my teeth and walking to the bedroom where some problems occured.

"No, I am going to sleep on bed, not you guys!" I exclaimed as the two puppies began to tug at the bedsheets in their mouths trying to climb up. I really need that encyclopedias and other things.

"Bark!"

"Yip!"

The two puppies exclaimed as they tried to pull the sheets with all their might. I sighed for an umpteenth time. Before getting off my bed and heading to the wardrobe drawer which that had a folded mattress, some extra cushions few sheets and began preparing a makeshift beds for the two puppies at the front legs.

"All right!" I said as I pulled the sheets around in circle around the cushions. "You two get inside." I said as the two dogs hesitantly got on the bed, not before peeing on the floor, which I cleaned just as I saw it, before it could ruin the sheets and mattress that I spread on the floor.

'I really need to see if I have dog books in here.' I thought to myself as I pulled the sheets over the twomaking sure they were warm enough and then getting back in the bed hoping for the sleep to take me to the dreamland, but the creepy gaze was still on me, I looked outside and saw a tree branch off a tree that was near the house and the mansion, a bird sitting on the branch was gazing towards my room and flew after a while.

'What was that about?' I thought as the bird flew away, and after a while so did the creepy gaze that I've been feeling on me during the day vanished.

"I hope I might find something or someone tomorrow." I muttered before sleeping in.

(The Manison:Unknown Place)

(Unknown Corridor)

A door stood at the end of the corridor inside the mansion which began to glow slightly. As the glow soon started enveloping the corridor, going out and covering the whole mansion in its light, with a distortion that followed the said glow that looked like a glitch that covered the mansion till the gates that separated the mansion from the forest, as the glow came to a stop so did the glitch seemingly not affecting the surroundings.

Meanwhile inside one of the house connected to the mansion, the teen with the two puppies slept, unaware and unaffected, in a blissful sleep.
