Strong and weak, tall and short, naturally gifted and hardworking, disciplined and rude, black and white, so it continues.
These words exist and yet some idiotic people say that humans are equal.
Makes me laugh that I belong to the same race as these pea-sized brained creatures.
The world was meant to be inhabited by various kinds of people. Trying to establish an equal ground between all of human life is pointless.
From the second of our birth, it was decided that nothing would be the same as other human beings, not even a single strand of hair.
In such an 'unfair' world, how do all different people manage to live?
The answer is: They don't.
What they are doing is not living, it is called surviving.
Surviving against poverty, famine, money, power, dangers, society,..... loneliness.
It is all for themselves. What else can you expect from selfish beings after all?
Lucky humans who have had a headstart from the day they were born are always the ones who are at the top of the chain.
They are usually classified as 'geniuses', 'born with a silver spoon' or even 'Chosen'.
Blessed by the omnipresent divine being that people themselves created, called 'God'.
With their existence already decided to be on the top, those below could only gaze up and feel envy.
Since those gifted people are the ones that rule the world, what are the other people supposed to do?
Another simple answer: suck up to them.
Well, most people hate that idea of what to do. It is the only way to continue 'living' peacefully in this unfair world.
But there are a few exceptions that no matter what, does not support that method at all.
I found myself quite interested in those types of people that do not bow down to the strong.
The hero kind of personality. I personally do not dislike that
"What the fuck are you all doing to my friend!!?!"
A group of delinquents looked towards that one boy who raised his voice despite the odds against the boy.
This scene was unfolding on the rooftop of the high school they attended. This is one of the relaxing spots for delinquents.
They were all ganging up on one frail-looking first year that forgot to bring his wallet to school.
This first year was basically a walking ATM. That was what the leader of the delinquents perceived him.
The leader, named Akazuki was in a pretty bad mood since his 'ATM' had no money.
"Oh, guys.....Look, we have a messiah amongst us."
Akazuki glared at the boy and proceeded to kick his ATM to provoke the boy.
The boy snapped and uncontrollably screamed at Akazuki.
He charged for him with the intent to injure him. He threw a punch, aiming for Akazuki's head.
Akazuki swiftly grabbed that same hand and executed a judo throw, slamming the raging boy's back onto the concrete.
*Bam!*
"Gah-!?"
The boy let out an anguished groan while the spectators from Akazuki's gang reacted enthusiastically.
"Wow! Did you see that!" A second-year was in awe by that move.
"That's gotta hurt.." Another second-year was worried that Akazuki broke his back or something worse.
One third-year girl jokingly asked the others, "Oi, someone call the ambulance~"
Two girls, each second year responded to the lame attack by the boy.
"Seriously, if you are this weak don't even try to do something pointless like this."
"This is really lame~"
Whilst they were having fun, one of the gang members, a first-year boy looked up to one of the second-year gang member who had a disappointed expression.
His curiosity peaked, he asked.
"Senpai, what's wrong?"
The second-year was contemplating on that boy's attempt to save Akazuki's ATM from his clutches.
He was weak yet strong.
Few people could well up that courage. That's why the disappointed second-year wanted to see a different result aside from him getting his ass handed by Akazuki.
"Just getting my hopes high and being bombarded by reality."
"...Senpai, should I take you to the nurse?"
That train of thought was certainly unique and far fetched but I did not hate it. Almost like if this were my thought process.
.....Maybe because it is me that it is my thought...
That is right.
That's me.
Hanma Katsuro.
I am a second-year high school student and currently, I am part of Akazuki's gang.
All for the sake of not getting swept up by the strong.
