By the time lunch came, half of what Grace felt had melted away. She had been distracted completely by work, and it took her a 2nd to remember why she wanted to have lunch with Christian desperately.
Tiredly, she dragged her seat over to the left. Sometimes, she regretted the fact that they were on a different floor. Maybe she should cut out the high heels. Sometimes, change was necessary and it felt so at the moment. Grace considered having a pair of slippers in her office that she could wear around in the building. There was no need for her feet to be in high heels, all day, every day.
She dragged herself out of the lift and to the office. The best part about his office was that it was the only one and had a direct line of view from the lift.
"Hey," she sighed and slipped her heels off.
A hiss slipped from her lips when her feet landed flat on the ground, and she started walking towards him. Midway, she changed her direction to the couch.
