"Dementia is quite a wide term," the doctor sat down, " but what I'm going to use here is Alzheimer's. Your grandmother shows the signs for it."
What does it mean that she shows the sign for it? If she had it, she did, and if she did not, she did not. Grace clarified, "She has it?"
"She has early signs of a mess. I'm waiting for her blood work to be done which would confirm if she has it or not. But there has been a decline in her brain activity. That combined with the age she is in, it's not going to be anything else other than some sort of dementia."
"So, dementia is for certain?"
