Her first action was to look at Christian who stood frozen on the spot. Then she looked back at Adrian.
"Today," she started with a whisper of a voice, "you were told about it before we came to get you?"
"Yes." He nodded.
She lowered her eyes for a moment before continuing. "They did not mention any kind of treatment? Chemotherapy or medication, medication, or any kind of drug?"
"No, I was not suggested any chemotherapy or any drug that was on the market or anything that was not on the market. I have been told that I'm not going to have more than a year to live, but it is my choice if I would like to have chemo, even though it's not going to do anything." He gave her a smile, it almost made her feel like he was indulging her questions, even if he knew that she knew the answer to them.
