It was wrong 10 in the morning when Christian received the first phone call. The ringtone woke both of them up, but Christian was quick on his feet, getting out of the bed in one go, as soon as the phone rang. It was next to his ear, and he already sounded awake.
Grace realized that she had also fallen asleep and in somewhat of an awkward way because her hand now hurt.
She was slow in getting out of the bed, but followed him out of it and moved downstairs in her night seat. To show her support silently, she made them both coffee and extended his cup to him. Christian took it with a grateful look before he turned back to the phone call.
She was halfway through the cup when he finally put the phone down.
"Most of the arrangements have been made." he informed her, taking a seat next to her on the couch, almost like he was throwing himself on it.
