Grace Russo was not a fan of black but today shebmight as well wear it. Would Mr. Miller give her a job if she was fired from this one?
She rubbed her hands, heating them off slightly before putting them on her face.
She had half a mind to not go in today but it was obvious that she was getting fired anyway.
"Grace, don't make me wait, I might die anytime soon!"
She huffed the first standing up and making her way out of a room and towards the dining room where her grandmother had laid out the breakfast.
"Why are you wearing black?" Lorelai frowned as she looked at the choice of colour before touching her arms and legs, "Am I dead already?"
Grace chuckled. "You're alive Nana." She took the muffin on her plate along with an omelette. The quicker she finished the day and got home the better it would be for her.
Romeo was ready with the car outside and Grace hurriedly climbed in and before she knew it she reached the building of the agency.
For a moment she is you want that the boss had forgotten about the spectacle but when the receptionist told her to go to the office of Mr. Vega she tsked under her breath.
This was not good. Would Mr Miller provide her with another job if she lost this one?
She knocked on the door and heard the man say come in. "Good morning, sir." She wished politely.
Her boss and the big boss were sitting together. Great, the old geyser was going to humiliate her as well.
"Take a seat Ms Russo," Miguel Vega pointed to the seat in front of him. Looking at him no one could tell what he was thinking and that was where Grace felt she was at a disadvantage.
"Yes, sir." She whispered more to herself before taking a seat as she had been told to. Her fingers were sweaty and she hated that. There was no worse feeling than this.
"Murry, how are the reports coming for the new branch?"
"Uh, good sir." Her senior stuttered slightly. "Great sir."
"Do you like the statement of the bank?"
" Yes," Mr Murray nodded, "Loved it."
Now as Grace watched Mr. Vega leaned in and placed his folded hands on the desk. "You loved it even though you have not been given the statements of the bank?"
Oops.
Grace remembered that they had not been given the statements of the bank yet. Those would be provided after they had begun with the working of the company for at least six months to see where the company was going.
Shit.
"Murray I understand that you are to be retired with this kind of behaviour will never be tolerated. You are fired." The man leaned back in his chair and his eyes remained on her senior. "Your desk is being cleared out right now and I will not entertain any resignation. You will not be receiving any recommendation letter."
Grace had widened her eyes for a brief second before looking down. She was not going to get caught in the crossfire.
"Leave." The chair scraped and the door was closed rather loudly.
"Ms Russo," Grace grimaced but looked up, "I understand that you were a junior but I expect nothing of sort happening ever again. If you're being overburdened the HR is to be informed immediately especially when someone else is fasting on their work to you."
She nodded hurriedly, "yes sir."
"Good," he nodded curtly, "for a few days you are to handle the position of Mr Mary before we find a replacement. Is that alright with you? You will be compensated well for this."
She licked her lip before answering. She had already been taking care of his majorly work before so she could do it now when she was being compensated for it.
"I can." She spoke up before nodding and gulping slightly. The man's presence was overbearing.
The man nodded and picked up a file. Grace immediately understood her dismissal and greeted the man in farewell as she walked out of the office and released a sigh of relief.
"Wow," she stretched slightly, she could understand why Miguel Vega was a big deal. Not to forget his damn face and the jaw.
