"Casey told me you are skipping lunch," said Eloise who dropped by with strawberry milk. "Is that for me?" asked Nikolai. "I bumped into Casey so I asked him what you would like. He said strawberry milk… Do you not like it?" she replied as he approached him. "That boy really can't stop concerning himself with others," said Nikolai with a smirk. "Thank you," he said as he smiled at Eloise. Feeling shy, she did not look him in the eye. "Wha-What are you doing?" she asked so as to change the subject and focus. "Composing," he replied. "Wow~ You can compose music?" she asked in surprise. "I'm a music major," he replied with a smile. "Sorry. That question was stupid, wasn't it?" she replied. Nikolai could only smile. "Don't worry. It was cute," he said as he patted her head.
Eloise then gave a ticket to Nikolai. "A fashion show?" he asked. "Katherine's project show, actually. If you are free, you can come along. I'll be going to support her so I was wondering if you would come too," she replied. "Of course I will go. My girlfriend is asking me out on a date, how can I refuse?" he replied cheekily. As she felt shy, she punched him lightly in the chest. Nikolai then pretended that it hurt so Eloise got worried. "Did I punch too hard? I'm so sorry! Does it hurt?" she said in panic. Upon seeing her reaction, he couldn't help but laugh. That was when she knew she was played. "I hate you," she said, pouting. "I love you too," replied Nikolai as he kissed her hand.
At her part-time work, Hank noticed that Eloise was in a good mood. "Did something good happen?" he asked out of curiosity. "Are you asking me?" she asked, unsure. "Do you see anyone else here?" he asked. She smiled and replied "Nothing much actually. I'm just happy." Hank sat down across her and said "Looks like your love life is doing well." She immediately became shy so she did not reply. "No point hiding. I can tell just from the way you act. I, Hank Graham, is a master in romance," he said proudly. "But you are still single," she said, stating a fact that might have stabbed him right in the chest. "Be-Being single and being a master is totally unrelated!" said Hank who was slightly embarrassed.
"Hank~ I'm back!" said Jesse, the beautiful lady who was with Nikolai before. "You must be the part-timer Hank talks highly about. I hope he does not overwork you," said Jesse who exuded a strong independent yet classy aura. "No, he is a very nice boss to me," replied Eloise. "What are you doing here? Aren't you busy?" asked Hank. "Do I need a reason to get coffee?" she asked. "Oh come on. Your office is not even in the area," he replied. "Seems to me I am not welcomed here," she said jokingly. "The usual, correct?" asked Eloise who tried to change the subject. "Yes, thank you very much," said Jesse. "The part-timer is much better than the boss," she added, teasing Hank. From time to time, Eloise would steal glances at Jesse. "Nikolai is my boyfriend so I need to stop being paranoid," she murmured.
"Excuse me, can I get one caramel latte?" said the customer when Eloise had her back turned. "Yes, sure…" she replied but she froze when she realized who it was. "Surprise," said Nikolai who caught her off guard. She had no idea he was going to show up at her work place. "What are you doing here?" she asked, nervous. "I came to see my girlfriend," he replied with a smile. "Here, for you," he added as he handed a pink rose to her. "Thank you~" she replied shyly since she was incredibly happy to see him, not to mention receiving a flower. Hank suddenly appeared causing her to panic. "Nikolai? What are you doing here? Did Jesse call for you again?" he asked. "No. I came to see someone," replied Nikolai. "Someone?" asked Hank, confused. Then, Nikolai looked at Eloise as he replied "My girlfriend." There was a three-second silence before Hank let out a loud scream upon realizing the situation. "This is like a movie… how did I not realize…" he started to murmur.
"Nikolai? Why are you here today?" asked Jesse who was startled by the scream earlier. She saw Nikolai so she walked up to him. "Hi Jesse. You are working here again, I see," he said. "The coffee here is the best," she replied. "Why is Hank so shocked? Did he see a ghost or something?" she asked after noticing Hank's expression. "Probably…" Nikolai replied jokingly. "Eloise Washington, is he the guy you mentioned before?" asked Hank, serious. Eloise panicked since she didn't know Hank would bring it up. "You mentioned me before?" asked Nikolai, happy. "I kind of did…" replied Eloise who had an awkward smile. "So, this is the reason you told me not to come often. You didn't want your 'girlfriend' to do so much work," said Jesse who immediately got the clue. "As expected, you are calm, not like somebody," said Nikolai, again, teasing Hank.
