A waiter rushed over and whispered something into Gu Nian's ear. Gu Nian's expression immediately changed. He ordered, "Send Lu Yan over to them. Let them deal with it!"
He looked furious and exasperated.
Lu Yan wailed as she rushed over. "Nanxing! Why did you hurt me? Why did you do this?"
I raised my voice. "It looks like someone wants to treat your poison. That person is probably the one who poisoned you, so why don't you ask him? You really can't pin this on me because I don't even know how to use poison."
I was saying that for everyone's benefit but Lu Yan. She wouldn't listen to me anyway.
Gu Nian's face was livid. He said straightforwardly, "Nanxing, I'm sorry."
I shook my head. "It has nothing to do with you. But, Gu Nian, be careful. Don't let those people take advantage of you."
