During the holidays before I started Freshman Year in high school, I ran into a girl who needed help. She had injured both knees. She was bleeding. I wanted to ignore her, but I could not. So I took my wallet. And I went to the pharmacy which was right behind her, but ... whatever, she was in a bus shelter which. And, like by chance, was next to my building and the pharmacy just downstairs from my building. I used all my pocket money * sigh *. To treat her properly, she had to take off her pants. So I decided to invite her over to my house she refused, she didn't want to disturb me according to her. I sighed again.
"Okay look, I wasted my money on all this," I told her what I had bought in the drugstore "You're bothering me already, don't you think?" She raised her right eyebrow.
I think. No. I believe. No. I know. Yes, I know I must have looked at her with a disappointed look, I must have looked like a beaten dog. I think she should try to understand me my pocket money no longer existed, and I had to wait until next month again to receive money from my mother; she agreed to come with me.
When I got to the apartment, I took her to my room, luckily I tidied it, I didn't have much choice, my mother scared me with her flip-flops, thanks, Mom.
I asked her to sit on the bed. I sat on the chair next to the bed, but, had to stand up to get a handkerchief and a bowl of warm water.
Arrived in my room, I put the bowl on the ground and I get down on my knees. I first soaked the handkerchief in the warm water a little, gave her the handkerchief so that she could wipe her face, she had puffy eyes and a little red from the fact that she had cried.
And I started to wipe away all the blood she had on her. One of the perks of having siblings was that I was used to healing wounds and was an expert in bandages. After we finished putting the bandages on, we heard a noise, "Harmony!" It was my mom, 'She came back sooner than expected' I thought.
Fortunately, my brothers and my sister went to the park with my aunt and my cousins.
"Yes, mom, I'm in my room. "; I gave the girl a blanket so that she could cover her legs since she had to take off her pants to be able to treat her, her injuries were long enough, but they weren't really deep, nothing to worry about. I got up to go to mum but felt a hand holding me back, I turned my head and I saw her looking at me and I looked back at her, puzzled. During that brief moment of eye contact, a strange feeling came over me. It was the first time I had felt this,
'Weird 'I thought, she let go of my arm." Sorry... "she said quietly.
With a smile on my face, I replied, "Don't worry mum, she's not the type to kick guests out, and if you want her not to know you're here no problem but-"
"No, that's not it, I-I'm thirsty. She said, lowering her head, "Okay, bottled water then."
" Yes please"
"Okay, I'll be back. "
I went to my mother, she asked me where my siblings were, after telling her where they were and why there was a person in my room, she said: "Alright, hurry up and bring her water".
