"Hearing that from the clan leader himself is indeed quite assuring," Elijah said as he responded with a genuine smile this time around.
"It's good to hear that you didn't doubt my words, and you also seem like a man that keeps his words close to his heart. So do I too, and I promise you that a raise is what you would get" Savvas raised an eyebrow as he replied.
"Then, thanks for the raise" Elijah said with equally raised eyebrows.
The conversation stilled for a moment as both individuals came to a standstill. Although the conversation had been awkward since the beginning, they were strange chemistry between the two that Savvas himself believed that he was talking to an already battled hardened ascendant, who was confident in both his skill and experience.
