Chapter 38 - Discovered by Someone!

It would be fine if they could see what it was, but they just couldn't see it. Those things were hidden in the darkness.

"Everyone must be careful." Locke shouted through gritted teeth.

They ignored the corpse and continued walking forward.

At this moment, they saw another corpse in front of them.

If they looked carefully, weren't the clothes on this person the clothes of a member of Locke's team?

Suddenly, Alan felt like he had to leave immediately.

It was very likely that Tom was already dead.

"Go out. Go to the original place. Tom is very likely dead." Alan said as he looked at the corpse.

"No, Tom has the Ghost Domain. He won't die." Locke didn't want to argue with him.

"Look at this corpse. It's the same as the ones outside. We can't even find the cause. How did these people die?" Alan said.

At this moment, another voice sounded.

When they went over, the person had already become a corpse.

"See? If this continues, we'll only suffer heavy losses." Alan said. This time, it was his people who died.

"If we don't see Tom, we can't be sure that he's dead. This is our only hope. Do you think it's possible that he used the Ghost Domain to get out?" Alan continued.

"No, I know Tom very well. He wouldn't do that," Locke said.

"Then are you still looking? You won't be able to find him. You know that the Ghost Domain can confuse people. It's very likely that we're just walking in circles while we think that we're walking forward." Alan suddenly thought of this problem.

That's right, if the Ghost Domain could create illusions.

It could also create very strong illusions to the point that you would be walking in circles while your eyes told you that you were walking forward.

Hearing Alan's words, Locke also thought in his heart that it was very likely. Although he didn't know much about the Ghost Domain, Alan's point of view seemed to be correct.

If it was a small Ghost Domain, then the deadly ghosts here weren't very strong.

They weren't even above the disaster-level.

As long as there weren't any disaster-level evil ghosts, they had enough people to deal with them.

But this was the Ghost Domain, and their abilities would be greatly reduced.

"What you said makes sense, but I think we should find Tom and let him make the decision." Locke said to Alan.

Seeing that Locke kept insisting, Alan had no choice but to look again.

"Alright, let's look around." Alan replied and started looking.

At this moment, Mary's heart was already in her throat.

She was constantly worried that someone would discover them, but those people didn't seem to have discovered them.

They were even coming over.

But hearing their extremely clear voices, she was still a little afraid of being discovered.

This feeling was like doing something bad and hiding, afraid of being discovered.

Maron, on the other hand, was looking at Mary without any expression on his face.

He seemed to be very calm, and there was not a trace of emotion on his face.

She could not be like Maron.

But she did not know why Maron was so calm.

Thinking back, it seemed that Maron had always been like this, very calm.

It was as if these things had nothing to do with him.

After a while, the sound of footsteps gradually faded away and then disappeared.

Mary asked, "What happened to them? I heard them talking. It seems like a dead person."

"Yes, it's a dead person. Did you see the corpse outside the door? It seems to have become like this," Maron said.

"AH?! Is this the work of a malicious ghost?" Mary became worried.

What if they died suddenly like that.

"I'm not sure. It's probably the work of a deadly ghost," Maron said as he lit a cigarette.

Mary suddenly remembered the jars outside, and she went numb again.

"Maron, what are those jars used for?" Mary asked again.

"They should be the corpses collected by deadly ghosts. Maybe they are used to feed other deadly ghosts." Maron said.

After saying this, Maron's hand that was flicking the ashes suddenly stopped.

If he thought that the corpse was used to feed a deadly ghost, then how strong was that deadly ghost?

[You were discovered and recognized by someone.]

Suddenly, the hint in Maron's eyes lit up.

"Let's go. We have to change places. The person is back." Maron stepped on the cigarette butt and stood up.

Mary immediately reacted and stood up to follow Maron.

"What's wrong?"

Mary looked at Maron, who was crouching and jogging, and asked in puzzlement.

"Someone's coming." Maron said this and hid in the darkness.

Maron had heard all their guesses.

This Ghost Domain was not an illusion but real.

The entire Ghost Domain was very big.

After hiding, the notification in his eyes did not light up. Maron and the Mary had already hidden themselves, but they were not far from the two teams.

A minute later, the sound of footsteps could be heard.

Mary looked at Maron. She could not understand how Maron knew that someone was coming.

Maron sat down again, his face still calm.

He could not go out now. What he needed to do was to kill the person who wanted to kill him.

He wanted them to experience true despair in the Ghost Domain.

"Maron, I realized that I really admire you." Mary said with a smile as she looked at Maron.

Maron did not speak. He made a silent gesture.

"Isn't there someone here? Where did they go?" Locke had already sensed that there was someone here, but he did not notice it after coming over.

"What's this?" Alan suddenly saw something on the ground. He bent down to pick it up.

It was a cigarette butt.

"So there really is someone here. How can a cigarette butt appear in the Ghost Domain?" Locke took the cigarette butt and asked.

At this time, Martin walked over. He looked at the cigarette butt and said, "Captain, I think this place is man-made. Do you remember? Captain Alan said that before they went in, someone came out and turned into a corpse behind."

Hearing Martin's words, the two captains suddenly understood.

Yes, there is someone here!

Why didn't I think of it just now?!

"Martin, what you said is very important. This place is man-made." Alan said excitedly.

"F*ck, so we were fooled!" Locke cursed.

More than a dozen of them had died, and Tom had not been found.

It was as if he had disappeared from this place, and his body was nowhere to be found.

Thinking of this, Locke could not help but wonder if Tom had really used the Ghost Domain to leave.

"Captain Locke, we've searched this place, but we haven't seen any sign of Tom. This member of yours couldn't have run away, right?" Alan sneered.

Previously, he had said that Tom might have used his own Ghost Domain to leave.

The bodies of those men were proof of that.

All but Tom were dead.

The names on the bodies were proof of that.
