Chapter 5 - Turns Out I Am a Genius Beast Tamer

In the residential area of the Starlux Gym.

At that moment, Giles, who still did not know that Little Guru Duck had evolved into a Swan Beast, was taking a nap.

Just then, Giles suddenly felt a tremor in his mind, followed by another vague sensation, as if he had established a connection with something.

"What's going on?"

Sensing something amiss, Giles immediately lost his urge to sleep.

He shook his head, but the feeling did not disappear.

Giles sat cross-legged on the bed and closed his eyes. He calmed himself and focused on the connection in his mind.

A moment later…

His eyes suddenly flew open and his face was filled with disbelief.

He was familiar with this connection.

This was the result of an initial contract between a Beast Tamer and a spirit beast. It was the connection between both their spiritual powers.

Although Giles knew that he could only contract a Bronze-rank spirit beast, he had never contracted a spirit beast before.

Before this, he had tried to contract many Bronze-rank spirit beasts, so he knew this feeling very well.

However, it was precisely because he was too familiar with this that Giles felt like he was dreaming.

This was because he could clearly sense that the spirit beast that he had established a contract with was not a Bronze-rank spirit beast.

That powerful spiritual fluctuation was even stronger than the bronze-rank spirit beast at its peak, that Giles had contracted before!

Silver-rank spirit beast?

That thought flashed through Giles's mind.

But how is that possible!

He was well aware of his beast-taming talent. At most, he could only contract with a Bronze-rank spirit beast at its peak.

Now, there was actually a spirit beast beyond the Bronze rank that had established a contract with him.

Are you kidding me?

Isn't this out to kill him?

After the contract was established, Giles would be attacked by the spiritual power of the spirit beast.

With his bronze-rank spiritual power, it was impossible for him to resist.

In a single exchange, his spiritual power would be crushed and he would become an idiot.

Giles forced himself to calm down.

At present, the only solution was to find the spirit beast that was currently establishing a contract with him and stop the contract.

Only then would he have a chance to live.

With this thought in mind, Giles jumped off the bed and prepared to rush out the door.

However, just as Giles gripped the door handle, he suddenly felt the connection in his mind begin to accelerate, and then successfully complete connecting.

A moment later…

Giles looked at the spirit beast tattoo that had suddenly appeared on his right arm and scratched his head in confusion.

"So… I've established a contract with a spirit beast that is beyond the bronze rank?"

Giles suddenly felt like the world was so dreamy.

"Am I dreaming?"

The first time he tried establishing a contract with a spirit beast, the previous gym leader told him that he could only contract Bronze-rank spirit beasts in his lifetime.

Giles, who was determined to become the strongest Beast Tamer, was naturally disgruntled.

He had studied many books related to beast taming and wanted to solve his problem.

However, he had yet to succeed.

Who would have thought that he would contract with a spirit beast that was beyond the bronze rank?

Giles didn't sense any problems either.

Although he didn't understand why, it was still a good thing.

After all, he can now establish a contract with a silver-rank spirit beast.

If he studies this thoroughly and makes sense of it, he will naturally be able to establish a contract with higher-rank spirit beasts.

Thinking of this, Giles opened the door and prepared to find the spirit beast that had established a contract with him.

This was the first Silver-rank spirit beast that he had contracted.

To him, it held a deep meaning.

On the other hand, Giles was also very puzzled.

Where did this Silver-rank spirit beast come from?

One had to know that there were no other spirit beasts in the gym apart from the group of bronze-rank spirit beast cubs.

Could it be a wild spirit beast from outside?

With this thought in mind, Giles began to sense the connection with the spirit beast in his mind.

"It seems to be in the sky."

Giles looked up.

A white figure descended from the sky and landed beside him.

Giles looked over and stared.

It was a snow-white swan. It looked intelligent and aloof. Its elegant body seemed to be hiding a huge amount of power. Its entire body emitted a dangerous aura that only high-ranking spirit beasts possessed.

Giles had only seen such an intense aura on the gym leader's Epic-rank Giant Golden Eagle.

In other words…

The spirit beast in front of him was a Gold-rank spirit beast!

The next moment, Giles was stunned.

He suddenly realized that at the other end of the connection in his mind, was the Swan Beast in front of him.

"So, I didn't contract a silver-rank spirit beast, but a Gold-rank spirit beast?"

Giles really felt like his brain couldn't function.

His spiritual power could actually withstand the impact of a Gold-rank spirit beast!

Suddenly, Giles thought of that rumor.

That was to not contract with a spirit beast right from the start and use other means to strengthen one's own spiritual power.

If one succeeded, they could directly contract a high-ranking spirit beast.

Until then, Giles had always thought that this rumour was unreliable.

However…

Didn't him contracting a Gold-rank spiritual beast now tie in with that rumour?

Gradually, a speculation formed in Giles' mind.

Could it be that his spiritual power was already very strong, so after establishing a contract, the advancement of the spirit beast could not help his spiritual power level-up?

As a result, the previous gym leader had mistakenly believed that Giles could only contract Bronze-rank spirit beasts.

Thinking of this, Giles suddenly had the urge to hang the previous gym leader up and give him a beating.

What a scam.

If he hadn't contracted a Gold-rank beast in a daze today, Giles wouldn't have discovered the abnormality of his spiritual power.

He had lived two lifetimes. How could his spiritual power possibly be low?

He sensed his mind again and found that his spiritual power did not feel unusual even after contracting the Swan Beast.

This means that contracting a Gold-rank spirit beast is not his limit.

Beyond that, there are still the Legend and Mythic ranks…

Realising this, Giles was overjoyed.

However, as someone who had lived two lives, he quickly adjusted his mentality.

Then, Giles began to size up the swan in front of him.

He had never seen such a spirit beast before.

However, this was not surprising as there were many types of spirit beasts in this world and many of them had not been discovered by humans.

But why did this spirit beast choose to establish a contract with him?

Giles was very puzzled.

Therefore, he directly used his spiritual power to communicate with the spirit beast and asked this question.

Beast Tamers could communicate directly with their own spirit beast using spiritual power.

"Master, I'm Little Guru Duck. After listening to your story, I evolved into this."

"In order to repay Master, I chose to become your spirit beast.

He heard the reply.

Giles looked up at the sky and fell silent.

Bronze-rank Little Guru Duck.

It heard a story.

Then, it evolved into a Gold-rank swan.

Turns out, not only am I not trash, I am also a genius Beast Tamer?
