I choked on dirt as I struggled to breathe. The air was polluted with an abnormal amount of smoke and dirt. My body felt like it was stuck between two walls of needles. I tried to open my eyes, but the stinging sensation made them water. Finally, I was able to force my eyes open.
The sky was black from the overwhelming amount of soot and dust, but I could tell I was at the bottom of a crater. It was hard to see, but the crater stretched on for miles. I tried to pull myself up but collapsed.
My body was too weak.
As my senses began to catch up, my skin felt like it was being held over a large candle. I managed to use my arms to push myself up. My eyes peered through the black and red smoke trying to see anything.
However, there were only flames.
The grass and trees were blazing as the endless flames consumed them. I collapsed due to a lack of oxygen and found myself losing consciousness.
It is hot. It's too hot.
