I cursed at him silently. My favorite possession? I made that thing on a whim and kept it around! Not to mention I only made three of them…
But why is it appearing? Shouldn't they have died when I did? It was my magic that was keeping them alive. Logically, they should have disappeared when I did.
I turned to Prince Leon, "That creature, is it common?"
He slowly shook his head with a pale expression, "After Moao's death, they sunk into the ground and disappeared. It was only when someone tried to enter the Black Forest did it ever appear again. And that was only once. After that, it wasn't seen again… Until now."
