We stayed by the fire until early morning.
Prince Leon used his magic to keep the fire going while we all watched the demonic beasts cautiously. Just as I had predicted, they kept their distance from the fire.
When the sun started to rise, the demonic beasts finally crept away.
Prince Leon sighed as he collapsed from exhaustion, "Why are they so close to the border? They usually stick to the Eastern Ruins. I didn't think they would be all the way out here."
I glanced at him, "They stay near the ruins?"
He spat angrily, "Those creatures like the place where they were born."
I shook my head, "They weren't born in the Eastern nation."
"Eh? How do you know?"
I looked back to the forest in silence.
