[Author's note: We are back to the present.]
I slipped under the water as I held my head in agony.
That prophecy…
That cursed prophecy!
Only when the water rushed into my lungs did my eyes fling open, shattering apart the uncontrollable swarm of memories. I lunged out of the water and hung over the side gasping for air. I coughed up water and rubbed my temples slowly.
It seems I remembered something unpleasant again.
I forced myself out of the basin, quickly dried off, and redressed. After getting a full night of sleep, or however close I could come to it, we left as soon as I woke up. Before, I would always fall asleep right before the sun rose and would wake up in the afternoon. However, ever since I found myself in a new body, I still fall asleep at the same time, but now I can only sleep for a few hours before I wake up again.
Luckily, I have never been bothered much by lack of sleep.
