A pair of eyes opened to see an exquisitely painted ceiling. It was the same situation as before. Another body, but the same soul.
However, this time the same soul wasn't alone.
There were two babies in the crib. One with golden hair, the other with pitch-black hair. Both infants had eyes as pure blue as sapphires. The black-haired child had eyes that looked as if they belonged to someone who had lived to several lifetimes. In contrast, the golden-haired child's eyes were innocent and pure.
The same soul looked at the other baby and was immediately struck by a peculiar protective urge.
A man in red robes adjourned with gold thread stared down at them. He was an elegant man with blonde hair and blue eyes. A man in a servant's outfit bowed behind him, "Your Majesty. The gods have provided you with two healthy twin boys. Congratulations on their birth."
