[Author's note: It is back to the present]
I slowly walked up the mountain to the place where Korph loved to run off and hide. Every step I took made me want to turn around and run away. I could only remember my final moments that had caused him so much suffering. Now that I've arrived back on this Island, I felt the wounds I had ignored, reopen.
I couldn't even force myself to take another step.
I can't face him quite yet.
Tama appeared at my side and smacked my back as if to reassure me, "You know… You don't have to go if you don't want to."
I stared at the cliffside that was tucked away and hidden. All there was room for was a single tree and a small cave. I tightened my fists and took a deep breath, "No… I have to."
I have to face him.
I have to see what he's become.
Tama nodded with a faint smile, "I won't be going any further. Yoichi gets impatient when I don't keep him company."
