*2 weeks later*
Aaaaaahhhh... a new day. The past weeks have been peaceful, just Dylan and I. No Trisha, no Ferguson family problems, no unfortunate events, just peace. These 2 weeks, I must admit it, Dylan has been soo busy...even though he always has time for me. I tried to figure out what he was planning but he would always speak in proverbs. Thinking about all the things we've done together these past weeks, I feel soo happy.....soo happy. But I haven't also heard from that old man since I returned.....I wonder what's wrong with him. Maybe I'll check up on him one day.
So basically, Dylan asked me to get ready, for what? I didn't really know. He just asked me to get ready whiles he waited for me downstairs. I curiously got ready in a flash and joined him downstairs.
I was welcomed with a beautiful smile from my silly boyfriend, he hugged me and led me to have breakfast together. During the breakfast period I constantly asked him why he was all smiles today but he always found a way to avoid the question. I finally gave up and continued eating breakfast annoyed. Dylan laughed at my attitude and decided to spill one quarter of the beans.
"Do you want to really know why I asked you to get ready?" he said smiling so that his perfectly lined white teeth were shown
"Yes" I shrieked
"We're going to stroll around town today"
"What?"
"I want to show you some places"
"Can I know the identity of the place?" I said with puppy eyes
"No, babe, it's a surprise. You don't want to ruin the surprise, do you?"
"No no no"
"So please be a little more patient honey"
"Mmmm"
After breakfast, we began our journey to the 'surprise place'.
I was super excited and constantly asked whether we were yet. Dylan just smiled at me and gave me an affectionate kiss on my forehead.
After a long one hour drive, we finally arrived at our first destination. It was a jewelry shop, probably the most expensive in the whole Country Z.
"W-what are we doing here?" I asked confused
"I told you to be patient right, honey?"
Just then a man who seemed to be the manager confronted us and warmly welcomed us. The manager and Dylan seemed to be discussing something so I sat on the couch across them and looked around the shop. My heart stopped when Dylan asked me to choose a jewelry out of some most exclusive ones that had been selected. I was flabbergasted, even though I had seen so many different types of jeweleries, these ones still fascinated me. I was in a dilemma. Is it ok if I pick the cheapest one? no no no, they'll think that I have bad taste. What about the most expensive one? no no no, they'll think I'm a gold digger. Haaaaaaa!!!! what now?!.....
After re-composing myself, I chose the simplest yet elegant one amongst them. Dylan smiled at my selection. The next second, he was kneeling on one leg in front of me holding a ring! Tears flowed from eyes unstoppable. I was shocked, he was actually proposing to me.....
"Scarlet Ferguson, will you marry me?" he asked
"Dylan...sob....sob....sob.....yes! yes! I will" I said in between my tears. He put the ring on my ring finger and kissed me. The staff of the shop screamed and cheered for us whiles I couldn't stop my tears. I was still in a state of shock.... Dylan proposed to me....he proposed! oh how I wish mom was alive to be here with me for us to celebrate. Mom...
After settling the bills and everything we got ready to leave. In the car I tried to make Dylan tell me our next destination but like he always did, he avoided it.
"Please" I continued to plead
"Ok, ok, ok, our next destination is....."
