He started to panic real fast after he thought about Shun and Tetsuo,
- Where are they ? ; Where they could be ? -
- Are they anywhere safe ? Are they even alive ? -
Thousands of these questions started to pop in Zenzi's mind, he got really worried for his brothers. But he was still in the shock of losing his uncle and was shivering with fear on the sofa. He suddenly remembered the dream he saw last night, it was like it was all coming true and people close to him have started to die. He got really suspicious about his dream he saw outside the window the Sun was not in the sky it had set already and it was getting dark really fast, as he saw that blood started to rush really fast and Zenzi's heart started to beat faster than anytime in his life.
He knew according to his dream if everything turned dark outside he would lose his brother(Shun) many thoughts and questions started to run through his mind like electric charges,
- Are my crazy dreams real ? -
- Aren't they just illusions of my mind ? -
- Why did someone killed my uncle and aunt why are they after my family ? And who is it ? -
" Is the murderer still in the house ? " After this thought Zenzi started gritting his teeth in fear because he knew it was a giant mansion he was sitting in and every single security guard was missing and his uncle(the owner of this giant property) literally dead before his eyes. So, it could either be one or multiple people he didn't knew how many people lurking in the house.
" Be brave, Zenzi 'Shun and Tetsuo' are in danger they need you ! " said Zenzi to himself trying to encourage himself. After he talked to himself for some more time, he shown some commitment and determination he got-off the sofa, walked over his uncle's body then he started to walk keeping his foot softly on the floor maintain decent pace as he knew not much time was left before complete darkness. He knew he was having very stereotypical mind-set and he also didn't wanted to believe that his dreams were not true. But his brothers had a soft spot in his heart but he was really determined to rescue them. He even put himself at risk in attempt to save his brothers, as the room was getting darker his anxiety was also peaking faster as its result he forgot about hiding his presence and just started to rush through out the hallway. He just kicked the doors of the rooms and shouted "Shun! Tetsuo!" but If he didn't get any replay he would rush toward the other rooms and repeat the same thing. He was genuinely afraid if any one suspicious was hiding in the rooms he was checking he could easily jump on him and kill him. But he didn't give any sh*t he was holding his life in his hand and was ready to trade with a Soul Reaper for his lost brothers.
Soon after he checked the last room downstairs, he heard a loud noises from upstairs which freaked the hell out of Zenzi as he startled for a moment. These loud noises sounded like someone was pounding on the door upstairs, so he slowly started to walk towards the stairway as he came closer to the stairs he could hear the loud noises more clearly that before now he could feel the agony of the wooden door who was getting pounded really hard by someone he didn't knew who he/she or it was ?
- Who is pounding the door is it Shun or Tetsuo? -
- Are they locked inside the room upstairs? -
- But who has locked them ? -
- Are they pounding the door to lure me in ? -
- Maybe then they will kill me too ! -
- Maybe I should just run away ? -
These questions and sounds coming from upstairs were making his heart beat faster and his legs started to shiver. Suddenly, tears started to fill Zenzi's eyes because he got really scared. He looked at stairs like it was a devil asking him to cross above him and go upstairs to meet his fate. He had really ominous feelings lingering in his chest that if he walked upstairs and opened the door he would face a horrifying fate.
- I should just go outside to ask someone's help I can't do this alone right ? -
- I think I should just leave silently. -
These cowardly thoughts occurred in Zenzi's mind he just lost the courage to rescue his brothers at that point. But the innocent faces of his brothers came in his mind, " Come on, Zenzi you don't have to stop now. I have to step forward for them. Every single people cared about them have died except me ! I will do my best and protect them. " said Zenzi to himself and pulled his last remaining soul and spirit to overcome his fear.
The pounding, the loud noises were scary and very ominous aura flowed downstairs from the room upstairs. Now the stairway acted like a bridge between him and his brothers which he had to cross now but didn't knew why was the unknown force separating them. Zenzi gritted his teeth walked towards his uncle took his cold hand in his hand and promised him that he would save both of them.
He looked outside about a minute was left until everything will turn pitch black and that time he will lose his brother according to his dream. Zenzi himself didn't knew why he was getting worked up by a dream he saw last night but something was keeping him aware of his dream. He was annoyed that he didn't had much time he saw a lamp near the stairs he simply picked it, now it was his weapon if he did see someone suspicious upstairs he had something to deal with it. This gave him a little more safety than before when he was moving everywhere open without any safety measure.
He took a look at stairs and took a deep breath and just started to walk upstairs slowly as the room the loud noises were coming from was next to the stairs the sound of pounding was getting even louder as he walked upstairs. This voices started to deceive Zenzi as he heard the voices closely he could hear the pleading voices of his brothers asking for help by pounding the door vigorously. As if every doubt and every suspicion in his mind disappeared when he heard their voices he couldn't think any other thought other than saving them. His feet became faster he just started to run upstairs while counting the last remaining seconds in his mind when at the last second everywhere it would turn pitch black and when the world will get sucked in darkness.
In a fraction of second he reached upstairs he was now standing right in front of the door, he could feel the harsh vibrations on his face coming from the door which was getting pounded hard from inside.
Zenzi's mind was filled with anxiety and curiosity, the question, "What is behind the door?", which created thousand more questions in his mind and most of the questions were dark and could possibly have only ominous answers. Which created a chain of unsettling thoughts his mind which were soaked in deep depths of fear.
He tried his best to avoid negative thoughts in his mind, and covered them with the positive thought of possibility of seeing his safe across the door. He moved his hand slowly toward the door knob as soon as he touched the touched the door knob all of a sudden pounding on the door stopped completely, which also created a sudden pin drop silence. Due to the sudden silence it felt like everything froze for a second. After, a second passed of Zenzi holding the door knob he quickly opened the door.
As, he opened the door he tightened his fingers so he could hold the lamp tightly and if he did see someone suspicious other side of the door he could protect himself with the lamp or just knock him/her out with it. The room was dark without any lights on, as he opened the door the last remaining sunrays of the Sun entered and illuminated the room. Not everything was clear but Zenzi could see the bed inside the room both Shun and Tetsuo were sitting on the bed facing opposite to Zenzi.
Zenzi felt relieved after seeing them,
" She..esh Shun... Tetsuo " ,whispered Zenzi but he didn't get any replay so he walked towards them and patted Tetsuo's shoulder but at the same moment he felt a cold tap on his shoulder. This shocked Zenzi and he almost p*ssed his pants not thinking anything he just closed his eyes and swung the lamp backwards behind himself but it didn't hit anything or anyone. He slowly opened his eyes as he turned backwards to his surprise no one was actually behind him he just thought maybe he was just imagining things. And when he turned to check on Shun and Tetsuo
" AAAAAAAA.....AH...AAAAAAAAAA "
Screamed Zenzi as Tetsuo attacked him with his black arms and while crying in black tears.
