Hello, again!
It has been a while, hasn't it? The ending of the first volume has finally come, and I hope everyone has enjoyed it so far! (It's time for the dramatic stuff...)
With that being said, the ending coincided with me getting a contract offer, which I will most likely take (provided I can get a few things straight prior to doing so).
What does this mean as far as the release schedule goes? Well, I intend to slow it down just a little to one or two updates a day (instead of two, three, or four updates a day) and publish chapters an hour later than before. Now, they'll be at 11AM CST. Until the end of September, I will only be uploading one chapter per day. In October, I will alternate between one or two updates per day as needed. This will also ensure the editing quality is a bit better.
Those are all my reasons why I'm altering the release schedule a little. I apologize! I wanted to extend the release time of this novel through the end of October. (As a side-effect, though, this actually means there will be *more* content than I originally planned. I'll include a few extra chapters in their own volume at the end. I'm trying to decide what these will contain. They will either be supplemental scenes from the main plot or Inei and Hikaru's story--most likely the former.)
Other important things about the second volume:
~For the second volume (Easy Go), there will be POV shifts (between Ophelia, Leo, and on one occasion, Sinclair)! I think the reasoning for this will be obvious after the first parts of this volume as I don't want to spoil tomorrow's release. The shifts will be clearly denoted at the top of each chapter and switch every few parts. (There is one notable exception to the frequency of switches.)
~The content is darker overall. There will be content warnings. Check the author's notes at the bottom of each chapter. There's a reason the novel isn't rated "G", but it's not going to go into "R-18" territory. I'll summarize the chapter's events if needed in the author's notes.
~*Obviously, I don't condone everything that happens in this arc.* Readers can come up with their own thoughts on the events. I certainly have mine.
~I still balance out everything with comedy. Don't worry. Nobody's turning into a complete rock.
~Some people think things are "happy for now". I'm of the opinion that people may be "sad for now", but happiness always awaits them somewhere down the line. Use this as you wish to interpret the plot.
I'll see everyone in a few hours. I'm very thankful to anyone who has been reading so far. All your interactions have made me smile lots--regardless of whether they're comments, votes, or simply valid reads. I'm grateful for any support I've gotten as of now, and I hope current readers will continue to follow the novel through its completion. :)
