Chapter 2 - Glass Shards All Over

"This is Bullshit!" Diantha Screeched through her teeth dodging passed the heavily armed H.G.G, Home Guardian Golems that were at least 25 feet in height which were at least 1/4 of the manor's size. Usually these were Humanoid but these two in particular were shaped into the Speed drakes that roam outside the Frontier: Walki—err, Running in a bipedal fashion, Two arms with Long Serrated feathers and a prominent Crescent Crest on its head. Fortunately and unfortunately did not recognize her for obvious reasons. She had made a dash towards the kitchen hiding in the many well-polished kitchen Islands.

All Diantha could hear was her breathing and the now blaring alarms within the room. It was unnerving when she could hear the scritching and scratching pf the kitchen's Steel door. She Could hear them. Hissing, snarling by the door as the lever went wild as if the Golems were trying to get in.

-clank-

Her Breath hitched as she carefully crawled her way to the kitchen's backdoor that led into the courtyard which was next to the River that flowed into the City. She could start her life there as soon as she escaped out of this hell hole.

-clack, Clack-

They were still trying to open the door, Good She could get out with no problems. The Marble Floor was Cold to the touch, so Cold that she began to shiver but she couldn't simply stand and walk her way to the door she had to be out of sight.

-Clack, clack, Shink-

Her eyes widened the Golems managed to open the door. Growling, Hissing was accompanied with the hard thud of their steps. Diantha stared at the Door a Foot away from her she had to make a decision now, to wait for them to decide she was not there or alert them but get to the courtyard to claim her freedom by jumping into the River.

The Hissing was Quieter.

The Thudding Stopped.

She Held Her Breath.

They Roared.

"Shit!" She cursed as she Exited the Kitchen and made a Dash to the River with the golems hot on her trail.

20 feet.

Their Roars Pierced the Quiet Night and she began to run in a serpentine manner to try to catch them off guard.

10 Feet.

She was Gasping for Air at this Point but she still ran as fast as she could, narrowly dodging the Serrated Claws of the Golems.

1 Feet.

She Prepared herself to Dive until a sharp pain crackled on her back shocking her before she met the water.

0.4 feet, She Crawled her way into the River allowing the Currents to Carry her as she Managed to get out of the Property with her life. She could feel body grow cold in the journey but she could not afford to sleep. No when She was so Close.

What felt like Days for her she managed to wash up on a Shore. She could feel the Coarse sand, she started to hate sand, she wanted to get up but felt too weak.

'So this is How I'll die? In a Beach Possibly bleeding out or dying from Hypothermia.' She managed to let out a bitter laugh, crying as her sobs were silent. 'This was a Mistake.'

A Mistake as she ran from Home with little to no plan, as her emotions had bested her yet again, She could have waited or planned for longer but she was so hurt, so Bitter that she never gave the running away business a second thought. She was Impulsive and because of that... Because of that... She'll be dead come Morning.

She heard the Sands Shift in front of her she tried to meet the eyes of her visitor. She teared up as she saw her Mother.

"m-mom?" she whimpered, she was dead and Her Mother was the one to Take her to the afterlife. "I'm s-sorry, I missed you..." was all she could say before her consciousness began to wane.

"sorry.... I'm not Your mother...." A Man's Voice Was all she could hear before fading into black.
