"What happened?" Doctor Darrel asked Dilan as he cleaned and bandaged his bleeding arm. Dilan sighed
"I don't know I just....got angry" Dilan replied calmly.
Darrel froze
"Angry...at who....?"
Dilan raised his eyes to meet Darrel's but didn't say a word. Darrel Pat him on the back
"If you don't want her just say so....we could arrange another..."
"No... " Dilan said.
"Why?" Darrel asked as his brows furrowed in confusion.
Dilan hesitated
"I don't need a woman who will expect any feelings from me to her"
"What do you mean?"
Dilan glanced at him and Darrel chuckled
"So you think she won't have feelings for you?"
"I know she can't" he replied
"But you can Dilan..besides she looks like....."
"Shut up" Dilan growled.
"If she ever does....then the marriage is over" Dilan concluded leaving Darrel in confusion.
Darrel smiled to himself
"little by little," he said to himself.
For Dilan to have been able to get angry was a good sign for the whole family. It gave them hope even though Doctor Darrel Was still certain that Dilan might not still get completely healed but a little change from his old state was a pleasant sight to behold. Doctor Darrel left his office without uttering a word to Dilan who was almost done with his work. Dilan laid his head back on his chair, he had been so upset since today and he didn't know why...normally he would overlook this stuff but it seemed to anger him the more this time. He closed his eyes, as that horrible scene appeared in his mind replaying itself all over again. That scene that had left him in the deep darkness and kept him numb for years...that night that had taken his will to live away.. that had incapacitated his soul, slew his spirit and mind altogether leaving him empty. Nothing in this world could bring him out from the deep hole he had been cast into.....because when she died he died with her. Happiness laughter and joy had no meaning in his life, all there was a blue-eyed man who was void of a soul and heart.
The only reason why he was still alive was because of Doctor Darrel who had tried his possible best to keep him going for years but at last, he wasn't going to last long because he craved to join her...where she was. Dilan's thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
The door opened and Nix walked in.
"Dilan we need to go home now"
Dilan nodded and they were off. Even though preparations were going on for the wedding still Dilan didn't care rather he went to work despite the pleadings from his mother
"Mr. Thor has relived you of all your duties in the company for now Dilan" nix spoke up. Dilan didn't react and just laid back on the car seat.
The car came to a halt at the mansion and Dilan stepped down. Two young men bowed slightly
"I'm hurt and this is Rhys at your service"
Nix was confused
"Were they getting replaced?" nix thought. Noah Thor appeared from the background.
"These are your s in addition to Linax. Nix would be getting married soon so you won't expect him to take care of his family and yours" He said smiling widely at nix. Dilan nodded and went inside leaving His dad and Nix.
"Be a good father-son" Noah Thor said emotionally and he left.
Nix had noticed that He had become emotional since Lily came into their lives...
He sighed and signaled the men who were still on their knees to follow him.
On the other side was a woman who had just hung the call after she had received the news of Nix getting married.
A young boy ran over to her smiling widely
"Mummy...what wrong why is your face like this?"
"Sajan mom is fine alright?"
The boy nodded and hugged her tightly
"How about we pay daddy a visit?" she asked the young boy.
"Daddy?" the boy asked with excitement in his tone
"Yes....let's pay daddy a visit....a surprise visit" the woman replied as she smiled ruffling his hair gently
