Mrs. Thor was so happy when she heard that her son had been engaged, she longed to meet this girl that had suddenly caught his eyes and that of her husband
"You don't remember her?" Noah Thor asked
"Not dear"
"Don't worry when you get to meet her...I'm sure you'll love her"
She nodded happily.
then She stood up.
"And where are you going?" he asked softly as he held her hand preventing her from moving ahead
"I want to see Dilan"
"I'll be back" she added and smiled.
She went to Dilan's room and knocked. This was the first time she had come into his room, he had always liked to be separated from everyone and so no one disturbed him at all.
After the second knock, she decided to open the door, which was already left unlocked. The room was just plain with nothing but the paint on the wall, no decorations or anything unique. She walked in and saw Dilan sound asleep. He was an epitome of elegance compared to his father, he was chest bare with his Trousers on. She walked over to him but something caught her sight.
"Is that...a flower?"
She walked toward the flower
"A lily....is my son really into flowers?" she thought.
She knew that growing up Dilan never showed any interest in anything. He was always so cold and alone, he just preferred to sit and stare at a blank space as if he was waiting for someone or something to happen. She and her husband had decided to let him be as instructed by His doctor, but she was surprised to have found a lily in his room. Looking around his room, she found out that that flower alone added a sense of beauty to the room, she sighed...how she wished there was a lily like this in his life. She wanted her son to be happy and forget his past...but she just wished even though she knew it wasn't possible.
She turned to her son who was now staring at her, she smiled at him
"How are you?"
"Fine" he answered sharply
"I heard about your engagement.....I know you only doing this because your dad told you to....but I want to ask do you want to marry her?"
She knew she could never dare to ask him if he loved her...of course, he couldn't
He nodded
She was shocked...she wanted to ask him why he agreed but she removed that thought.
She hugged him tightly,
"I want you to be happy Dilan...." she said emotionally. She knew she couldn't help him in any other way but right now she had to make sure that not only would this wedding go well but that Dilan would become happy. Their hug was interrupted by a knock and nix came in,
"Am sorry ma but Noah Thor requests your presence."
She went over to him
"I'm not ma....but you can call me mom," she said softly
"Okay, ma....mom" nix smiled. She nodded and left them both.
Nix looked at Dilan who sat down without even moving.
"Your dad wants to start making preparations for your marriage so it's better if you just come down right now"
Dilan nodded. Nix left him to clean up, while he went downstairs to where Mr. Karin and his wife had already arrived. He smiled to himself when he thought about his marriage with Betty, he knew that Karin had known that something had been going on between him and Betty but her mom had no clue. He hoped Dilan would get married so he could be with his Fated one.
Karin sat next to his wife who was conversing with Noah Thor's wife. The two seemed so deep in their conversation that they had forgotten about the men that were there
"Am so happy for you"
"I wish him all happiness"
"I do too," Dilan's mom said
"So how would you want the wedding to be?" she asked her
"Well....just a simple wedding...we could just get them registered in a court that'll be fine"
"It's going to be more than a wedding" Noah Thor exclaimed proudly. Dilan who was coming down the stairs stopped in his tracks as he glanced at his father. The old man sat still smiling at what he said, only God knew what ran through his mind everyone thought.
"How do you mean?" Karin asked.
"I didn't invite you all to plan the wedding" Noah Thor added
"I invited you to have a look at my son's finance"
"Just That??" everyone asked. He nodded
"I want you all to meet the lily in Dilan's life"
Everyone turned to where he faced. His wife's heartbeat increased.
"The lily in his life?"
