Betty felt her face warm up, she felt that nix was just playing with her emotions but she could see the seriousness in his eyes.
He carried her up
"Hey put me down"
"Stay quiet" he said as he kissed her and she flushed red. He carried her to the living room, and placed her on the couch. He brought out some popcorns and sat beside her
"We watching something?" she asked
He nodded
"Is it romantic?"
"No horror" and she fell silent
*Was this guy kidding her*
*Horror?* she thought to herself. Nix noticed her unusual quietness
"Are you scared?" he teased her
"Scared?"
"No....am ....not"
"Good" he said as he turned on the movie. Betty could feel her heart clench when the movie started at first she stared at nix who stared at her back, she shyly turned to the movie. The movie started with a normal scene and this made her comfortable
"Not that scary" she murmured
She was enjoying the movie till she saw the part when a demon grabbed the boy leaving the girl alone. She tensed up as she hid herself behind nix. She didn't see that coming.
Nix chuckled
"Whats funny?"
"I thought you aren't scared"
"I'm not" she said defending herself
She sat back on her spot but then she felt her heart pump loudly.
The girl in the movie was lost on what happened luckily she got to escape and Betty's heart came down a bit. The scene went normal till the demon found the girl and this time she saw what it did to the girl. Betty hugged Nix tightly crying
"Okay am scared please turn it off" she sobbed. Nix wanted to tease her but he saw his scared she was and he turned it off and carried her to the room. She laid on his chest till she calmed down. Nix tried to figure out what he would do to shift her mind away from what she had just watched
"Ill be going back to country S by the end of the week"
She looked up to him
"Why?" She felt stupid to ask him that
"Okay..." she said and laid back on his chest
"Once your parents return back to the country i promise not to leave you again okay?" he said
And she smiled as she nodded. They spent the rest of the hours talking and then he took her out for a walk.
*Back in country S*
Lily sat down staring at the document before her, she began to recall her encounter with Dilan. She couldn't remember anything but his eyes, and anything time she could visualise it she felt her soul bleed and her heart ache. She was confused
"Do i feel sorry for him?"
Wendy walked into her office unannounced to find a sullen lily. She watched her for a while but lily didn't seem to notice that someone had entered her office.
"Lily?" Wendy called out and lily flinched.
"Whats bothering you?" she asked but lily became hesitant
She contemplated on whether to tell her or not, wendy who was slowly becoming impatient held her hand
"Lily you know you can trust me right?"
"Talk to me"
Lily sighed
"Am.....am confused"
