Betty traveled back with her parents while lily went back with hers but her and Betty were still in contact. Charles often came to visit Lily till she applied for work. At first it was frustrating, because she got no response but then it happened that all of them accepted her only problem was that of selecting the one she would apply for.
"Darling which one will you go for?"
"I don't know mum"
"I'm confused" she added
As they were talking Charles walked in
"Good afternoon ma'am"
"How are you?"
"Am fine" her mom stood up and left they two alone.
"Your getting pretty daily lily"
"You think so?"
"Yes...i know so" he said smiling widely
"Thanks"
"So have you finally decided where you would be going?"
"Not yet"
"Why don't you apply for the Thor's " he said jokingly
"Seriously Charles?"
"What...your good for that place"
"Very funny" she said
"Am not joking lily"
"Okay okay i have heard you mister" she replied and they fell silent
"Lets go out for a walk" and they went out to the garden.
They walked and talked for a long time. Soon it was late and Charles hugged lily and left. Lily went up to her room and did as Charles told her. She left her computer and went to sleep, in less than a minute she got a message to prepare for her interview in two days. She was shocked, she called Betty and told her.
She was so happy for her and they talked at length. When she cut the call, Betty thought of it but she knew her dad couldn't own the company it was his brother.
"But why would Mr Thor be interested in Lily?"
The next day Charles went to see Lily over the good news he heard.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes" she said excitedly
"So when is your interview?"
"Tomorrow"
"Tomorrow??"
"Isn't that too soon?" he asked inquisitively
"I know but...."
"I don't like where this is going lily!" he said seeming displaced.
"Don't worry Charles ill be fine"
"Okay so..."
"I'm tired" she interrupted him
"So soon..." he said feeling hurt
"Yes I'll talk with you after the interview bye" and she left him still seated. He stood up and left in anger, he was having a bad feeling about this but he calmed down when he realised that maybe she was just lucky
"I'm just overreacting" he brought out his phone and texted lily saying he was sorry but she didn't reply. When he got home he checked his phone but still no reply. He kept himself busy till it was dark and he went to sleep. He checked it and saw a message he excitedly opened it but when he saw Ashley's name on it he closed the phone and threw it on the bed as he laid to sleep.
"Am getting fed up" He hit himself hard on the wall
"Why can't you just love me back lily!!!??"
"Why?!!!"
He felt so frustrating, he picked up his phone and dialed her number but she didn't pick up. After calling the phone a lot of times he dropped his phone and put himself to sleep
