Betty ran across the dinning and she halted. Lily and nix were eating their food silently without making any move to talk to each other and the atmosphere seemed calm. They both looked up to her but lily continued with her food. Betty was stricken by surprise.
"Lily...."
Nix kept on looking at her until Betty's eyes met with nix's, they both gazed at each other for a long time until nix stood up and walked over to where Betty stood unmoving Betty felt shivers run down her spine the moment nix was an inch close to her.
"Wanna join us?" she didn't say a word and went over to lily who had finished with her food and was staring at the two. Betty dragged her by the hand and went upstairs to her room
"Lily what are you doing with him?" she asked seeming annoyed but lily didn't say a word and just walked over to the bed brought out her laptop and became serious with her work. Betty shook her head and went to the bathroom. When she was done she came out and began drying her wet hair after she was done she went over to tap lily on the shoulders. Lily just glared at her for a while and Betty felt some how hurt.
After a few glances
"Were you jealous that I was with him?" and she smiled
Betty didn't know how to react she was elated that lily had just smiled but also Annoyed at her question
"Why would i?" she asked sternly
"Because I think he does and I know u do" She said finally and concentrated on her work
Betty just sighed
"I don't lily" and she walked out
Nix was at the door when she walked out she held her chest as she tried to calm down
"Did I frighten you?" he asked softly
"I thought it was a ghost"
"Do ghost exists?"
"I don't know"
"But ....." she paused him
"I have to go"
"Wait Betty" he called her name so gently that no matter how she tried she couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat. She paused
"You like me don't you?"
"No I don't" with the last strength of control she had within her
"I...." She thought he might say That he liked her so she ran off, ever since the week she had refused to allow nix talk to her she couldn't bear any heartbreaks not now.
Nix had noticed her recent behaviors and finally let her be.
Nix decided to stay outside on his own and let Betty take the inside. On a day Betty was looking for lily she searched for her but couldn't find her she remembered her favorite spot and went over there she ran towards the garden but immediately she saw nix she turned back but nix had already seen her.
"Tiny Betty" and she halted only Karin called her that
"How....?"
"Well you must be a little snub huh?"
She turned and glared at him
"Hard to get huh" he smiled, she ran out
"I'll catch you little snub" as he watched Her run out
