Betty walked in feeling all happy, she ran excitedly upstairs to meet lily. When she opened her door she saw lily staring at her window, she looked so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice that Betty had stood at her back for a long time now
"lily" Betty tapped her on the shoulder gently. Lily jerked, she turned to see a worried Betty.
"Did anything go wrong?" She asked
Lily shook her head. Betty wasn't Satisfied with Lily's answer she had to find out why she was like that
"Did there date go wrong?" she thought
"What did Charles do?"
She held her temples trying to figure out what had went wrong.
"Where is Charles" she asked lily
She noticed that lily hesitated which made her feel very uncomfortable
"He's....outside.....by..." she stuttered
Betty nodded and left immediately to find charles. She sighted a glimpse of him as she ran towards him, she was about to let out her frustration and all the questions she had but he paused when she noticed how heavy the atmosphere around Charles was. She could feel his aura scream bloodlust, she walked up to him.
She wanted to say something but she felt her throat run dry, she choked on her saliva, which made Charles turn to her. Their eyes met and Betty felt a rush of adrenaline which made the hairs on her body stand still , he looked at her and turned his face away from her knowing that she was already frightened.
"What happened?" she whispered but Charles heard her well.
"He's a threat....a big threat" he blurted out with a hint of anger on his face. Betty could see how white his knuckles had turned.
"Charles" she said softly. He turned to her still fuming, she walked up to him and squeezed his hands which was as cold as ice
"Tell me that Happened" she said and the mam melted as he let out his frustration.
"And you think she....."
"I know she does" he cut her off.
"Charles you have to take it easy, Don't let your anger lead you to do some thing you might regret"
"If you love her, you should always be by her side no matter what I'm sure she'll come to love you soon" she added
"Ill go and talk to her" without waiting for him to say something, she stood up leaving Charles to his own thoughts.
She walked into her room, still surprised to see lily awake
"Lily" she called out to her friend
Lily turned to her
"His eyes...." she sobbed
Betty went over to where lily sat and hugged her for a while she turned to lily whose eyes where now puffy and she pinched her cheeks.
"Can't you see how ugly you look right now" she said trying to lighten the mood
"You better clean up your face lady before we go to bed"
"You know how scared i could get" she laughed
"Yes ma'am" lily let out a chuckle
