Wendy grew pale each day that passes. She just couldn't get Ace out of her mind. He wasn't just a boyfriend to her, he was family.
When her aunt had gotten married she became alone till Ace came by, when ever she had a bad dream. He would cuddle her while kissing her forehead assuring her that he was there with her. She had so many memories with him, but she didn't miss the memories she missed him.
Raymond had turned into an extra caring friend just to prove his love for her but the more he tried the more indifferent she became.
"Am leaving"
Raymond turned to her direction, his face turning sour
"Why?"
She glanced at him for a while and left without answering his question.
When she got home, she sighed in relief, she had missed her home especially the memories she had with Ace.
She went up to her room to clean up and came down to the kitchen to prepare something to eat. She heard a sound, she rushed outside to find who it was. When she opened the door, she met ace. The man looked at her for a while before he came in. He sat down still not breaking his gaze from her. Wendy felt weak in the knees, she couldn't conclude on whether he was still angry or not
"Then why is he here?" she asked herself. She finally managed to close the door but she stood far away from Ace. He stood up and walked closer to her, the closer he went the more she distanced herself from him till she finally leaned on the wall. She watched her self breathing hardly as she waited for Ace who was staring at her to say something
"Do you love Raymond?" he asked without hesitation.
She didn't say a word, he kept his gaze around her as her mind drifted. She remembered when Raymond had confessed his feelings to her, she remembered how happy she had been with Raymond all through the time she had an issue with Ace.
"Do i love Raymond?" she mumbled to herself. After a while and she was still lost in her world of thoughts. Ace nodded and turned to leave.
He turned the handle and felt a hand around him.
"I can't leave without you and i don't want to try" She said, crying.
Ace teared up. All this time he had thought she was happy with Raymond and was ready to move on without him.
They hugged each other without saying a word but only their hearts knew what they felt at that moment.
Ever since Raymond found out that they were back together he distanced himself from wendy, his hate for her grew more than anything because to him it felt unbearable for a girl to reject him.
*Present time
Wendy smiled to herself, at least her stories didn't end in a heart wrenching way like other love stories did. Hers was happy and true and she was grateful for that
