Katelyn's POV
"Wow I never thought I had a wolf". I gaped at her.
'You did I just wasn't ready yet' she smiled. 'Oh and by the way I'm hungry you've been out for four days'
Gosh no wonder I'm hungry. I got out of bed and walked out of my room before going towards the kitchen. To make myself a sandwich I found myself making five grilled cheese sandwiches.
I sat down and took a bite out of the first one. But paused when I saw my father come into the kitchen he had a bandage on his forehead and was using crutches. His face morphed into...fear? When he saw me and staggered back.
"Monster"he mumbled and moved away so fast with his crutch you'd think he's was scared.
"what's up with him?"
Daphne frowned 'ignore him'
I shrugged and continued eating. On my fourth sandwich my mom came into the room with three bulky men with her for some reason Daphne was growling.
"Mom"I smiled and looked at the guys confused then turned to her"Dad looks really beaten up who did it?"
"Katelyn you did"she answered softly and I laughed but it froze when I saw she was serious.
"What?"I breathed out and stood up.
"Calm down"she said and motioned to have a minute alone with me they nodded and left
"How?"I chocked and she motioned for me to sit.
Cole's POV
'We have the house surrounded Alpha'Andy said through the link.
Tony, Rex and Diego walked out.
"Why aren't you in there"I lowly growled at them.
"She wanted a minute alone with her Alpha"Tony said and bowed his head in submission.
I growled in annoyance she didn't need a fucking minute. My wolf was at his peak because he senses our mate and I wanted to get this over with. I stormed into the house and my nose got hit with the most amazing smell of strawberries and lilacs. I madly followed the scent till I heard the sound of sniffling from the kitchen I slammed the door open and saw her my mate crying into her mothers arms. No it can't be she can't be.
****6 hours later****
Katelyn's POV
I wake up with a throbbing head lightly groaning and sitting up noticing I'm in an unfamiliar place trying to recall what happened yesterday. Oh yes mom told me I shifted and attacked dad she also told me I'm a halfbreed or better yet a hybrid sent by the sun God or something like that. I also remember crying then my mate walking in growling at me mom was saying something to him then all of the sudden I was hit with a dart and I passed out. I looked at the pitch black room. I was able to see it clearly due to my night vision. I tried standing up but winced sitting back down looking at my ankle which was chained up with silver. The bars of my cell were also made of silver I notice the smell of dry blood, urine, wolfsbane and rouges in here.
Damn am I'm in a pack dungeon.
I lay my head back down and sighed.
I sat back up when I heard what was unmistakably the sound of footsteps coming towards the door. The rouges whined and moved further back into their cells.
The door opened to reveal my mate his grey eyes focused on me the whole time he turns on the light and I squint my eyes at the the sudden brightness. I hear the sound of my cell unlocking and turn to see him there.
He enters my cell and squats down in front of me looking into my eyes and saying the words that drove most wolfs mad
"I Alpha Cole reject you Katelyn Hall as my mate and future Luna of this pack because you are nothing but a mistake from the goddess"
