Thunder rumbled and rain cascaded down the large windows of the palace. From the window, the Emperor watched, a pensive expression on his face. He was deep in thought, hand cupping his chin. His study provided the optimal environment for deliberation. Documents were neatly arranged on his desk, bookshelves of the finest wood on all sides of the office. The room itself had soft carpeting and was lined with gold and small statues of gargoyles.
"Honey..." The Emperor heard a high pitched voice that sounded sweet as honey. He turned around to see his wife, the Empress presented before him in a silver night gown. The nightgown did no favours in hiding her figure. The Emperor's previous train of thought was no broken upon seeing his wife and a large smile broke out across his face.
" It's so lonely in bed without you... Are you almost done yet?" the Empress said in a voice that was obviously meant to seduce him. Emperor Hyperion could feel a tingling sensation flow through him just looking at his wife. She walked across the room with elegance and grace, encircling her arms around Hyder's neck. She stared into his dark grey, almost black eyes. As she stared, the night also gazed back her lovingly.
"Almost dear... I'll be there in a bit." Hyder replied, full of affection for the woman in front of him. She giggled and released her embrace. "Don't keep me waiting..." she replied simply, giving him a smile at the end.
Soon after, an old gentleman in a black and gold military uniform entered the room. His suit was covered his medals of honour and boots were shined to perfection. Despite being over 60, he was still in good shape and looking sharp. "Good evening Empress," the old man bowed to the now leaving Empress, keeping his eyes low, not daring to look. She nodded in reply. Only when he heard the door close behind him did he raise his head.
"General. You have the report of the takeover I assume. Let's make this quick shall we." the Emperor broke the silence, gesturing to an empty chair for the general to sit in.
"Right away sir." he bowed slightly and quickly strode towards the gestured seat. The Emperor also took his seat behind his desk.
"As the general of the royal marines, I am pleased to inform you that the takeover is under way. We have dispatched the 52nd company to take over the underground and are sending the 5th battalion lead by Commander Gregor as reinforcement. By my calculations, it will be under our control in about 1 to 2 months. It is a large area and we need to comb it thoroughly, I apologise for the long estimated duration. " The general gave a bow at the end to convey his apologies after his report.
The Emperor nodded in understanding." General... You know the reason I want to comb the underground... " The Emperor trained his piercing gaze upon the general, testing to see if the general knew his true intentions. The general looked up and nodded. "So... Where is he?" The Emperor was starting to get impatient.
"Apologies sir, we never found anyone with a remotely similar description." the general placed an empty file with a picture on the front on top of the table. The picture displayed a young man with blonde hair and gold eyes. His features were sharp and commanding. The Emperor expected this and nodded.
" He always was a slippery bastard. Continue your search. Killing the gangs along the way will be a bonus. Don't forget your true purpose." Hyder now stood up from his seat. Staring at the thunderstorm outside the window. "If there is nothing else, I will retire for the night. Good night general." The Emperor said. The general bowed in reply.

It had been 4 days since the royal marines flooded into the underground. In the past, the Emperor never cared what we did down here, he acknowledged that we could become a threat but never did anything about it until now. The Marines police every corner of the city, arresting almost any on they see, including those who are supposedly innocent. ' He definitely wants something here... Does he finally care about it after all this time?' thought plagues my mind on what the Emperor might want.
"Captain. Cap? Are you alright?" Meg's voice of concern shook me back to reality. My eyes readjusted and I saw a large holo-map spread out on the table. We were in a seemingly run down room with minimal lighting. Meg, Deadeye and Cross were all looking at me, concerned.
"Hmm? Oh uh... Yeah, fine." I blurted out still slightly flustered. "What were we talking about?"
"I think we got the captain bored hehe," Deadeye chuckled. " We were talkin bout our upcoming visit to the Clan of Drake. Their gang has the biggest information network, and you promised we were gonna visit them. So why not kill two birds with one stone? We get the info on why the hell these Marines are here and we get to dish a out a lil pay back for them threatening your life." Deadeye summarized.
" Right... "I replied, processing his words.
" Everything is finalized. We simply await your confirmation and orders. " Meg added on, with determination in her eyes. Her military background makes her rooted in standard procedure and extremely loyal to the cause she believes in until proven otherwise.
" Well then. Let's do it, I told them to expect a visit, didn't tell them when or by how many." I said giving a sly grin on my face.
