Chapter 2 - -2-

"M… Master, are you all right? Y... are you still alive? Y... are you still breathing?" asked Angier in her trembling voice. With all her might, she tried to endure the wound she had sustained from the explosion she had just experienced, for then she checked the breath and pulse of the figure who had just fallen from the sky.

Honestly, she didn't know who the person in front of her was. A figure that could even fall from the sky like a meteor. What Anqier knew was if that figure wasn't from the human race. Yes, this figure in front of her was not a human. Because if he were a human, she would die falling from the sky like that.

While Chen Liao Xuan was trying his best to move, he wanted to signal that whoever was nearby knew that he was still alive. He could have healed himself, but that would take years, given the severity of his injuries. Slowly, Chen Liao Xuan tried to open his eyes, and he could faintly see a figure who was now looking at him with a worried expression. Chen Liao Xuan's eyes were glazed over, his eyes immediately widened, and the tears rolled down his cheeks just like that. The girl's face, the girl's eyebrows, the girl's nose, the girl's tiny lips, and the look in her eyes all seemed to snatch away Chen Liao Xuan's sanity at once. He smiled bitterly, who squeezed the thing in his hand tightly. And he whispered,

"Anqier," before he fell unconscious again.

"W... Master?! Sir! Are you dead? Sir?!" Angier looked flustered. She didn't know what to do to help this man in front of her.

Later, she remembered, if her father had taught her to mix some medicinal herbs, and more than that, her father had given her a bottle of immortal cider, in which it could heal any wound.

Angier struggled to carry the man, supporting him with a limp to the secret hut she had built with her father. Then, she laid the man down immediately, and she went back out to look for some herbs to treat the wound suffered by the man.

Until evening came, Angier struggled with the fire that was difficult to light. Several times she tried to blow it. After the potion she cooked was cooked, she then put it in a bowl. Then she turned to the potion she had just finished mashing.

Before she gave the potions, don't forget Anqier gave a drop of each potion. Then, very carefully, she removed the man's clothes so that his chest could appear wider. Anqier wanted to confirm how big and deep the wound had been by the man now.

"Master, I don't know if this potion will work on you. But, believe me, this potion is very effective for humans like me," she muttered. Gently pasting the potion on the man's chest, then after that, she bandaged the wound with a cloth from her clothes. After that, Anqier tried to put little by little the potion that had boiled into the man's mouth until the potion ran out.

Anqier seemed satisfied, all the effort he could do to help the man who still had her eyes closed tightly. She was silent for a moment, watching the man intently.

She would never have thought that in her entire life if she could see a figure who had an extraordinarily handsome face like this man, even all that attached to her body did not have any defects. Angier then smiled while patting both cheeks. Actually, what did she think when she saw that man?

She then got up, about to leave but stopped. Then, she decided to make porridge for this boy. So that when he wakes up, he can eat something. However, Anqier herself wasn't sure whether this man liked to eat human food or not.

"Anqier! Liu Anqier! Where are you?! Did you hear me, huh?! Liu Anqier! If you don't answer right away, I'm really going to smack your ass!"

Anqier immediately fell to her knees as her best friend's voice grew clearer. She was really at a loss as to what to do. Until finally, she covered the man's body with straw. Then, she hurriedly exited the hut, closed the door from the front, and forced a smile at Yang Si Qi, who was already in front of her.

"What?" asked Yang Si Qi.

With a nervous expression and an anxious heart, Angier gripped the doorknob tightly. She didn't want, if her best friend found out, that she had hidden men in this hut.

"W... What?" asked Anqier stammering.

Yang SI Qi then crossed her arms, and then she pulled an eyebrow. Suddenly stuttering like this was suspicious. She knew Liu Anqier more than anyone, and even she knew when her best friend was telling a lie or telling the truth.

"What are you hiding inside Anqier?" Yang Si Qi investigated. She wanted to barge in, but Angier immediately pushed her best friend away from the hut. Pulling Yang Si Qi's body with all her might, Yang Si Qi couldn't help but follow in her footsteps as well.

"You know Miss Yang, I'm not hiding anything. I was there because I was missing my late father, nothing more," Anqier finally answered.

Hearing that answer and seeing the look on her best friend's face turned sad made Yang Si Qi feel the same sadness. After all, she knew that Anqier was very close to her father. What's more, her best friend knew her father's death right before her own eyes.

"It's been three months, it really doesn't feel like it's been three months," Yang Si Qi muttered, hugging Anqier's body.

Anqier was crying again, and then she nodded weakly in response to her friend's words.

Brack!!!

This was the third time the warlord of the demon kingdom—Jiang Kang Hua, hit the table in front of him. Then, he squeezed the sword he had been carrying. Then he turned his head when he saw some secret troops from the demon kingdom coming, and they seemed to be kneeling right in front of him as well as in front of Li Zeng Xi, who had been looking calm reading the bible in his hand.

"How, did you guys find anything?" Li Zeng Xi's advisor asked the shadow soldiers.

"Sorry Mister. Until now we could not find the whereabouts of His Majesty King Chen Liao Xuan Xuan!"

"Bastard!" Jiang Kang Hua said. He immediately slammed the wine in front of him, and then he looked at the shadow soldiers with emotion,

However, Li Zeng Xi could read the situation, and he immediately sent the soldiers away before Jiang Kang Hua killed them indiscriminately.

"Why are you angry Commander Jiang? Isn't the root of this problem yourself? If you were good at war at that time, then our King would not have intervened and disappeared like this. Did you forget, that our King was recovering his strength at that time? And you gave the enemy a chance to injure our Emperor!"

"Shut up, Counselor Li! I don't need your lecture!" angry Jiang Kang Hua. He then shook off his robes, then he sat down, putting down the sword he had been carrying roughly.

While Li Zeng Xi seemed to be holding his breath, his brain was trying to figure out how he should find the King quickly.

"Keep this matter a secret from everyone. It's enough for us to know the secret that His Majesty the King has disappeared..." Li Zeng Xi finally said, then he glared at Jiang Kang Hua as if he wanted to skin the warlord right now. "Before the third full moon celebration banquet, no matter what, we must find our King no matter the reason. Because otherwise, the demon kingdom will find its time of collapse right then and there."
