Chapter 6
I was about to take up a fighting stance when Grutki was suddenly flattened by a giant black mass. Giant wings folded out revealing the black mass to be Silvi, her wings blotted out the sun, in seconds all Grutki's goons were lying on the ground, with him, groaning in agony.
"I never really liked him," Silvi said in an almost sing-song voice as she stepped over the groaning dwarves, her jacket was ripped and she was now sporting wings, with a wingspan of six meters she was quite intimidating.
Thrin was obviously terrified, he was shaking from head to toe. "Well, I would love to help with the wolfsbane, but unfortunately, I'm really just good at burning plants and that would be disastrous," Silvi said looking at the purple-flowered plant. She had black hair like mine, but she was easily a head taller and had pure white eyes, no pupils, no irises, only two milky white orbs. Thrin grabbed the flower and shoved it in his tool belt. "There it has been taken care of; can we go now, Please?"
Before any of us could answer, a women's yell seized everyone's attention. "Ms DARK! What did we talk about beating up the dwarves?!" The woman screamed as she walked towards us.
one of the few good things about my previous life. Mrs Norrington had hoped I would be interested in law studies someday, so she made me learn Latin alongside English, now I am fluent in both. I wasn't even phased to hear her call Silvi on her English surname rather than the Latin one Thrin used, Silvi obviously didn't much care. The woman approaching had green skin and flowery hair, she was wearing what looked like a dress made out of bark. I later found out she was the principal. She stopped a couple of feet away from us listening to the recall of the story from an elf. Looks like I should put first to tell the Principal somewhere in that poem of mine...
She glared at Grutki and yelled at him to get up off his ass and stop moaning like a little bitch. She walked up to us. "Sorry Silvi I judged too fast, please forgive me. Oh, and before I forget you have until tonight to get a housemate, I understand a person of your stature needs a big space and the old house is well suited for your needs, but it is far too big for you alone, if you don't find someone, I will have to make arrangements with the trolls to clean up space in the caves." She said that just as a troll could be seen walking into a wall, grinning wickedly, before putting his enormous finger up his nose.
Silvi almost choked on that idea.
"Misses Oaks, with all due respect, I'm a Dragon-blood everybody here is afraid of me even the trolls no one wants to live with me, but you can't make me sleep in the caves, I might have dragon blood, but I am still human too," Silvi said anger slowly mingled with fear.
"I don't have a place to sleep, yet," I stated, relief washed over Silvi as she caught the relieved glance from miss Oaks.
"Well, it seems you have been saved." Miss Oaks said with a smile. "I presume you're the newcomer, undeveloped powers as of yet. I will see you tomorrow in my office, miss Tenebris will show you the way, or Thrin can. We need to sort out your curriculum."β
Silvi had a hard time believing what she had just heard. Before I could get a word out, I was crushed in an embrace. "Thank you so much!" Silvi said as she let me go. I fell to my knees sucking in breath after breath as I got feeling back in my chest. Even with the wings now tucked back she was still a pretty beefy gal. "Sorry I'm not used to giving hugs, I think that might have been a bit hard," she said shyly. A bell rang and I noticed the sun was setting.
"That would be dinner, I'm starving," Thrin said, still looking uncomfortable around a girl three times his height. Silvi went to collect her stuff from the table she had been sitting at.
