Chapter 7 - ~CHAPTER 6~

"So you're telling me that you've been crying and doubting yourself because of that a**hole?" Siena glares at me eating red sauce pasta and the mouthwatering Fried chicken she ordered. There is only one person who could make Myra talk even about her deep dark secrets through fried chicken.

"You don't understand it's not just him, you know what happened with Austin and all the boys before him!" She shrieks.

Siena narrows her eyes at her, "you know this better than anyone else that you have the worst choice when it comes to boys. Austin was never a good choice for you in the first place and you know it better than anyone else".

"What do you mean?"

"Oh please as if you didn't know when the man was trying to keep you in reigns, when he forced you to listen to him rather than have your own opinion", she doesn't stops, "and what about when he called you as 'worldly' and constantly told you that you had too many friends?"

"I know and because of that I broke up with him Ena. It's just every relationship I had, turned out to be my worst mistake and today when he said that I was not his type, I just questioned that maybe the problem isn't in the guys I date, but maybe the whole problem is me", Myra exclaims feeling suddenly lighthearted as if pouring her heart out was the only thing she was looking for.

"But you're wrong Myra, your past doesn't define you. You're the one who told me that right, then why dig it out and just because one guy told you that you're not his type, it isn't your fault because there is nothing wrong with my best friend".

"Okay, okay", she exhales a deep breath after Siena loosens her bone crushing hug.

"But now back to you Missy. What happened with Joseph I thought you guys were going to be together forever?" As the smile on her friend's face disappears Myra realizes she shouldn't have asked that question.

She puts her hand on Siena's shoulder softly and asks, "what happened Ena?" Instead of telling her, she just gives a short smile to her and says, "he's in a relationship".

"What?" She couldn't be more proud of Siena for keeping a straight face when she clearly could be a crying mess but no surprises there, as she was the most strongest among them.

"Yes, he actually surprised me on my birthday", she gives a laugh.

"What a du*bass!" Maybe this is the reason why she was forcing Siena since their teenage to confess her feelings for her neighbor/childhood friend. They are family friends but somehow they became close. She has always been in love with the guy but yet never had the guts to tell the boy. This was also the reason she never wanted regrets in her life, if she liked the guy she would tell it on his face so that later on, the guilt of not telling the guy would never ever cross her mind.

"It's okay Myra really, I knew this was bound to happen someday..."

"But?" She raises her eyebrows at Siena.

"But just didn't expect from him to do this on my birthday! I mean who ruins my birthday like that", she grumbles that makes Myra laughs.

"Hey I remember something about B calling you?" Siena asks eyeing the last bite of her pasta.

"Yeah"

"What did they want I thought you left that work", Siena questions knowing that once they've contacted her no matter how many times Myra would deny them they would not stop.

"They just wanted something done", Myra says and takes their empty plates to the sink.

"So", she walks behind her to the sink.

"So what?"

"Will you.....?" The few seconds of silence Myra had, scared her because the last time she came back saying that was the last time it took a whole lot of Siena's mental strength to bring her out of that mess. 'What if she goes back but this time even she couldn't help her best friend?'

"Chill Ena! I won't go back", Myra looked at the horrified expression her best friend had right now and promises to herself that she won't go to that road. She owes her at least that much.

"Promise?"

"Promise. Now can we watch some movie?"

"Fine but you have to do the dishes first"

Myra was about to deny then just shakes her head, "okay but only because I ruined the dinner".

"So which movie you want to watch?" She asks when they both had taken their perfect spots on the couch laying back in front of the big screen.

"What do you want to watch?" Siena asks. Myra knows that she isn't a movie buff like Siena but the fact she was ready to watch a movie just made her happy.

"How about Divergent?" Seeing the twinkle in her eyes, Myra knew she made the best decision. That girl is crazy over that series.

"Cool", as the movie begins they both lay back again and watch the screen.

"Ena", she calls out in between of the movie.

"Mm", Siena gives her a lazy side eye.

"You never told me about the job for which you called me here"

"Oh yeah I totally forgot", she pauses then sits up straight and continues, "the moment you called me and told me you were getting fired at the same moment I heard someone else getting fire in the writer's department so....."

"What did you do Ena?" She narrows her eyes at a smug looking Siena.

"I might have talked to the head of the department and gotten you that job", scrunching her nose she spills.

"Siena you can't do that!"

"Why?"

Shaking her head at her friend she answers, "what if they want their job back?"

"Well too bad they had to double cross our director. They were giving out secrets of our company to the rival company and also when I told them about how an amazing creative writer you are by showing your work they immediately hired you on the spot", Siena remembers how easy it was to get the HR to hire her in fact how she was so proud of her best friend when the HR looked at the works, so struck at her works, it was a dumb decision that Myra made, she wanted to get in that blood sport when she would've achieved so much in writing now, but she was happy that it was all in the past now.

"Does that means we'll work in the same company", Myra raises her eyebrows and smiled at her.

"Oh yes! I forgot about that part", she exclaims and hugs her.

"Oh wait a minute didn't you told me your director died?", 'way to ruin the mood' Siena thinks.

"Yes now his son took over", she says somehow looking disgusted.

"Why do you say it like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like as if you were drinking vinegar before"

"Well....", three, two, one. "Well that man is the biggest arrogant, narcissistic, egoistic a**ehole", may God bless that man who even thought of crossing her best friend, Myra thinks.

"Who has made you so angry? At least tell me his name", Myra insists.

"Wait", she replies and opens Google the first thing that comes up is the article that, she saw about him in the morning that said he visited to some charity. She remembered how she rolled her eyes at this because if he had to something good why would it be on the news, right?

Seeing the article Myra pauses seeing the name, "it can't be"

"Why?" Immediately Siena reacts to her words.

She couldn't believe her eyes, Siena was not talking sh*t about no one rather she was talking about one of the top most billionaire. "That is Alistair Mitchell, the only man who has no unwanted rumors plus has no bad publicity surrounding him. Come on Ena you are a journalist you should know all this".

"He doesn't have a bad publicity because he owns them", she elaborates making a nasty face. "Plus I am waiting for him to screw up and I will show the world who he really is".

"Woah, he definitely should watch out", Myra laughs. The movie was long forgotten as then Siena starts talking about how his new boss is exactly the words she defined him to be. The way she is talking about him makes Myra laugh because even though she says she hate him the fact that she is even talking about him for such lengths shows that she maybe likes him and the whole night passes just like that.
